When you click on the Permalink button for a post, would it be possible to change the browser caption to be the text of the post's subject field? That would allow you to see what the link was for, if you saved it in a bookmark list.

Is it possible in html/javascript to detect the difference between left-clicking, and left-clicking with the CTRL key down? I was just thinking it would be sweet to be able to get to LAD by holding down the CTRL key when clicking on the Lounge link.

Is it possible to encode < and > automatically when a code snippet is pasted? It is really hard to post a C++/CLI code snippet using FF now.
|
|
|
|

err...it already is.
oh. Hmmm. It is if you use IE.
OK, bug added.

Hello
I was answering a question on the asp.net forum. I want to show an example for column, so added column definiton without xmlns:asp="#unknown"
<columns> <asp:boundfield datafield="ID" itemstyle-cssclass="columnHidden" xmlns:asp="#unknown">
<asp:boundfield datafield="Name" headertext="Product Name" xmlns:asp="#unknown">
When the page is rendered, See here[^] it has additional xmlns:asp="#unknown" set for the column definition. This happens where I use straight text, code block formatting or inline code. Is this by design? How can I prevent this?
Thanks
Yusuf

So minor I'm embarrased to even mention it
In the paragraph that says "Hundreds of new articles are posted each month" there is a space missing after the "new articles are posted" hyperlink.

This statement: "CodeProject is a place to share source code, not applications or components." appears on this page: http://www.codeproject.com/info/submit.aspx[^]
Seems to be in conflict with the Component Catalog on the menu bar.

Yep,
at the same time, please point out an article isn't just a code dump, instead it is supposed to contain more text than code.
So we can avoid things like this[^].
Luc Pattyn [Forum Guidelines] [My Articles]
- before you ask a question here, search CodeProject, then Google
- the quality and detail of your question reflects on the effectiveness of the help you are likely to get
- use the code block button (PRE tags) to preserve formatting when showing multi-line code snippets

This[^] guy seems to be running a troll account, targetting articles with his bile. There's a particularly racial slander in there that you may want to look into.

It's the racist slur that really got to me.
