Ah so its a image
Well then lets turn it into a suggestion
A checkbox next to the link that filters the forum all/unanswered questions would be nice to have

The problem there is that the load on the server would be way too high. We've already had to do some fiddling with the current page (hence it's slightly simplified display format)
So instead I fixed the image

Ah, I knew there was a reason why that hadn't been done yet
Image showing fine now thanks

#1) Descriptive permalinks bug:
Here[^] is the original link (before it was changed to descriptive) to a post and this work.
Here[^] is the new descriptive links, which takes you to the C++ forum home page.
#2) "Send me an email if someone replies to this message" is unchecked by default and "Allow private email replies to this message" is enabled by default. I think that it should be the other way round.

1) All permalinks seem to be broken at the moment (see my post below)
2) For me
'Send me an e-mail if someone replies to this message' is checked by default and 'Allow private email replies to this message' is also checked by default.

Not all, but only the descriptive permalinks (the new ones) are broken. The old ones are still working and some of the new ones are working as well. For instance, this[^] is working.

Mine are both unchecked by default, but that's the way I like it.

As of typing this reply, mine got fixed (I'll receive notification if someone replies, but private emails are not allowed). Chris must have kicked a hamster somewhere.

I got a reply to a question I asked, when clicking the 'To reply, click here.' link it just directed me to the first page of the forum.
I figured I'd just go to my profile and go to the message that way but there it has the same problem. [EDIT]seems to be only the case for my messages that are from 27 Apr '09 or newer[/EDIT]
After searching manually I tried clicking the 'permalink' button, that just redirected me to the first page as well
The link displayed at the top (after going to the message manually) is:
http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/3022943/Usercontrol-build-problem.aspx?fid=1646&fr=201#xx0xx[^]
[EDIT]After clicking the 'post message' when replying the same thing happens [/EDIT]

Unfortunately there's an issue with permalinks. I'm turning them off for the moment and will have the issue fixed today.

All the bookmarked forum message links are not working. Instead its going to the first message in the forum.

Despite a week of testing something (probably something stupid and blindingly obvious - maybe something like they don't wor properly?) slipped through the cracks of our permalink system. We're fixing now.

The new friendly URL for forums and messages looks great But when a reply is posted, the posted message is not getting expanded when redirected to the forums page. Here is the steps to reproduce
1 - Click reply for any message
2 - Post the reply
3 - Page redirects to message list page, but the message posted recently is not expanded.

Probably the permalink issue.

Apparently, signing in as Oakmantest, signing out, and signing in as Oakman restored the functionality that was missing. Markup is working fine for me, once again.

Did you check your settings when posting a message? Specifically: "Do not interpret HTML tags (good for code snippets)

Hi Chris,
When I click on an old message (under My Messages in my profile) it takes me to the first page of the forum that message was in rather than to the actual message.
Similarly, when I reply to a post, it doesn't leave me at the same position in the forum (ie: on the message I replied to) but takes me back to the first page of the forum.
Just thought you should know! (Of course, it might just be me!)
