Yeah same as me then.
Shree wrote: In the 'normal' forums, the expanded message jumps to the center of the screen.
Hmm not exactly the center of the screen here but it does jump, never really payed much attention to it until now . It's been so long since I used IE that I forgot how it reacted there
Shree wrote: Maybe your post got buried deep.
Probably, it was quite a long time ago.

Is the any way to chastise this person [^]for deleting messages in the forums. He has definitely set a pattern of deleting questions that have been answered, irritating to say the least.

Yup I'm aware of that, I was attempting to show that this person has a habit of deleting answered posts. I feel reasonably confident that CP admin can find their way to the profile page . Wheres that sarcasm smiley?

I usually quote the OP's post (the relevant parts anyway) when making a reply, so even if he/she deletes the post, context is retained.

Any answers I've given aren't being listed in the appropriate (or any) place on my profile page - is this still in 'ToDo' or should it be working?

Hi CP,
Found an odd bug: On the CPOL Page
http://www.codeproject.com/info/cpol10.aspx
This Zip File is empty:
http://www.codeproject.com/info/CPOL.zip
(The link to download a copy of the licence: " Download a copy of the CPOL.")
Tested in FF3 and Chrome 4
|
|
|
|
|
I've updated the zip. Can you please try again?
cheers,

It works with IE8 - but still not with Chrome 4 or FF3.

|
|

I just tried with FF 3.5 and it works.

odd.
I've got Firefox 3.5.5 and I get an empty zip file.
Works with no problems in IE8 though.
Not to worry though. There's always "view source".

Could be that it's reported already (only went back 2 pages)
Pasting a link no longer get formatted automatically, it used to work I'm sure of that

Works for me...[^]

K so far I'v only found that it doesn't work in the c# and visual basic forums (but haven't tried many of the rest so there could be others)
But it doesn't always happen, if I reply to the original question the links don't get formated, but if I reply to a reply it does work correctly.

This article[^] may be missing a closing </strike> tag as all text from License onwards (including the forum) is showing as 'striked' (W7 IE8).

Some suggestions...
Seems like some users forget to accept answers to their questions (they may not even realize that feature exists). Perhaps send out an email 3 days after the last answer to let the user know they should accept one of the answers?
Also, it would be nice to be notified of activity on a Quick Answer question. Sometimes I'll post a possible solution and the OP will add another "answer" asking for more information, but I am never notified of their post.

We are missing reply/comment functionality to the answers posted. Isn't it?
BTW, it seems only both of us are having problems. Hamsters hate us.
