Nope. Firefox has a very unpleasant way of handling paste events so we have to do convoluted steps to track paste events. Because of this the undo buffer is getting (I'm guessing) thoroughly messed up.

Look at my reputation[^] between late June and early July. Instead of connecting the two points like this / they're connected like this _|.

That was done on purpose because reputation does tend to jump in steps.
We can change it to a line if you prefer.

That was the original version, but because reptuation is a step event, spline curves tending to go a little crazy when there is sparse data and big jumps.
I can't believe I'm discussing the pros and cons of spline vs step curves this early in the morning.

IMO there's no need to do anything fancy here, straight lines from each point to the next is good enough. Reputation doesn't need smoothing.
I once read it was going to go up as well as down, however I haven't seen that explained in any detail. I personally am in favor of a natural decay, say 2%/month, so someone becoming inactive gradually looses points.
A monthly -2% corresponds to a half-life time of 3 years.

There are much more important things to get worked up about, such as the-feature-that-shall-not-be-mentioned.

Hi Chris,
Just a little suggestion from me.
I think it is good to have Email Notification on Replies to answers in quick answer section. I always see my mailbox regarding replies to answers.
Also just like message boards, It is good to have Replies to every answers posted, rather than the whole post.
As I always see my mailbox for replies to my answers, it is hard to find them for Quick answers section.

Not sure what you mean by 'replies to answers'. In the Quick Ansers system you are either posting a question, or posting a reply to that question. There's no ability to post a reply to an answer.

I think he means that when a message is posted in the Quick Answers section you do not receive an email copy like you do in the main forums, thereby alerting you to the fact. I think this is one of the main problems with QA in that if the OP asks for clarification of your answer you don't know he has done so.

As Richard mentioned, I think it is better to have a message board under each answer, rather than to have it for the whole topic at the bottom.
No one (including the author of the question) generally knows there is a message board at the bottom and replies as answers. This way, even though there is a discussion around a topic... it creates multiple answers for the question.
I think this would be nice to have a reply at the bottom of each answers and that will also notify the person to whom it is replied (Just like the Message Board section). This way, we can have more clear posts to the Quick answer section.

We do plan on having a message board attached to each answer (in addition to the question) exactly as you suggest Abhishek. It's in our todo but not currently one of the top priorites.

These strange symbols seem to occur on a regular base. Wouldn't it be good to explain to all what we are doing wrong, and/or to prevent us from doing it ever again, and/or to fix the bug that leads up to it (whatever applies), so we get this eradicated?
