I thought I'd mention that after the latest changes, rep points in the quick answers section and reputation graph are not matching.Me, I'm dishonest. And a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for...

They don't always due to caching between the different servers..45 ACP - because shooting twice is just silly ----- "Why don't you tie a kerosene-soaked rag around your ankles so the ants won't climb up and eat your candy ass..." - Dale Earnhardt, 1997 ----- "The staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - J. Hi,
Is it possible to have Email Notification for Quick Answer section as well, just like the Normal Message Boards. It is very easy for us to browse through email notifications for the questions that I have answered.

|
|

The reputation type "Discussion Forum Message Upvoted" can only have a maximum of 10 events per day.
Is that correct? There are times when a message can get more than 10 votes - so is there a limit to the number of votes a message can receive?Me, I'm dishonest. And a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for...

Sometime this afternoon, my reputation points went from over 30,000 to just over 11,000.
Has there been a bloody coup?
BTW, I checked Christian's as well, and his dropped to 90,000.
It looks like we lost our scores for most of 2008, and all of 2009..45 ACP - because shooting twice is just silly ----- "Why don't you tie a kerosene-soaked rag around your ankles so the ants won't climb up and eat your candy ass..." - Dale Earnhardt, 1997 ----- "The staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - J. yes, unknown terrorists (SO?) took over the site; see lounge sticky.

I only read code that is properly formatted, adding PRE tags is the easiest way to obtain that. All Toronto weekends should be extremely wet until we get it automated in regular forums, not just QA.

I don't see much difference, except some reputations now grow 100 points per minute!

Like Wikipedia has a random article button, Code Project should get one.

I was working on a new version of my article scraping article, and I found that even when considering the ratings for tips/tricks and blogs, my calculated average is somewhat different than what's showed on the CodeProject My Articles page. Does the average also now include ratings from Quick Answers?
If so, this throws a rather severe kink into my code because the only way we can currently get this data is scrape the web page (since we don't yet have a web service from which we can retrieve the data).
EDIT ==================
Maybe the averages shown at the top of the page should be broken down according to item type
Averages for Articles: x.xx Tips/tricks: x.xx Questions: x.xx Answers: x.xx Blog avg: x.xx.45 ACP - because shooting twice is just silly ----- "Why don't you tie a kerosene-soaked rag around your ankles so the ants won't climb up and eat your candy ass..." - Dale Earnhardt, 1997 ----- "The staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - J. Would having the download count displayed also help your article scraper?

It wouldn't "help", but it would be applicable given the intent of the code. (I know this has been an issue for you for a while.).45 ACP - because shooting twice is just silly ----- "Why don't you tie a kerosene-soaked rag around your ankles so the ants won't climb up and eat your candy ass..." - Dale Earnhardt, 1997 ----- "The staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - J. The ability to subscribe to a daily email report on article activity (views, votes, messages, etc). There are very few platinum members so this shouldn't put too much of a strain on the system, should it?
Why just Platinum members? Because they're Platinum members, of course.
BTW, this would be an option they would have to select in their profile..45 ACP - because shooting twice is just silly ----- "Why don't you tie a kerosene-soaked rag around your ankles so the ants won't climb up and eat your candy ass..." - Dale Earnhardt, 1997 ----- "The staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - J. My average article score changed, but with 49 votable items, I have no idea what was voted on to change my average (and it wasn't any of my recent ones).
Can we get either (or both) of these items:
0) a vote notification email
1) A "Recent activity" date on the My Articles (and Tips/Tricks) page
It's impossible to keep track of this stuff the way it is.
You may want to allow the member to check a box to provide this feature for a given article..45 ACP - because shooting twice is just silly ----- "Why don't you tie a kerosene-soaked rag around your ankles so the ants won't climb up and eat your candy ass..." - Dale Earnhardt, 1997 ----- "The staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - J. Just build that into your article scraper - maybe a few historical graphs, per article.

I was thinking this would be more for people that didn't want to use the article scraper..45 ACP - because shooting twice is just silly ----- "Why don't you tie a kerosene-soaked rag around your ankles so the ants won't climb up and eat your candy ass..." - Dale Earnhardt, 1997 ----- "The staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - J. Why not combine the two? Make your article scraper minimize to the tray, with notification when there has been a change?
