Check your filter setting.

On the QA section in the right bar there is a button 'Go' next to that is where you can set a filter.
It seems the filter gets saved (even if used on another part of the site) or something like that.

Problems searching the CodeProject Jobs site

Hi, I'm having problems searching the Jobs site. When I search for simply C# in the Tags field it shows three results on page 1 of 3,238 pages. However, when I then click on the "2" for page 2 it says there are "No job postings". The same thing happens in IE8, Safari and Google Chrome. Does anyone else see this behaviour? Thanks, Henk.

+1 I searched for C# (in Keywords), got back 1 record on first page (with 1238 pages). When i click 'Next' or Page 2, i get 'No Job Postings were found...'
I doubt this has to do anything with browser, yet IE8, Web18.

Nothing is too much?

While using the Article Submission Wizard I got

There was a problem creating your article.

The article contains too much text from the article template. Please remove lines such as
"(Optional) Is there any background to this article that may be useful" etc. that were in the original template.

Now I know for a fact there wasn't a single sentence that matched the boiler-plate text. Not even a single word. Not even a single letter. Huh? Yeah, while my article is still in "composing" state, I'm taking care of meta-data before entering text. The textbox was empty. There was nothing in it. Not a single letter. Yet "too much text from the template"?

Confused | :confused:

PS: yes, occasionally I like to test the unexpected too.

PS/2: So I had to stuff some silly text in there in order to submit my meta-data changes!

Issue with the right panel in QA

Have a look at this[^] question.
The panel in the right side (with the Search, Filter, Tool etc. etc) is placed too high, so it goes above the banner and all the way to the white strip at the top, making it impossible to click the links there.

Happens on Firefox 3.6.6 (haven't checked on other browsers)

I'm seeing this in the place of the top right and bottom page banner about half the time in opera. I haven't seen it happen in FF, but most of my browsing tonight's been in O.

This document had no style information.

Could we have a page that shows all the ads all at once? that would:
- allow us to click on the one we are suddenly interested in, without having to wait for it to appear in the header accidentally.
- allow us (i.e. you) to monitor all ads so problems are noticed earlier, and identified more easily.

That would be a "feature" IMO.

I've just noticed in a Tip[^] I've just posted...

I have wrapped IntPtr and called the field intPtr and it's colored the same as the type.

Not a major issue but thought it was worth mentioning.

Hi Dave,

some languages need case-insensitive colorization, VB is a prime example. Most languages don't.

There are more anomalies; here is a forum example with lang="cs":

int double float char string IntPtr decimal myForm BigInteger
INT DOUBLE FLOAT CHAR STRING iNTpTR DECIMAL MYfORM bIGiNTEGER

(it looks similar in the T&T environment)

Why are double and float treated differently? or char and string?

Anyway, IntPtr isn't a keyword at all (see here[^]); it is a type, like BigInteger, with one distinction: it resides in System itself. But it isn't a shortcut, not in the way int stands for System.Int32, so I would expect it to be black.

Again, yes I know, but CP seems to try to recognise all the common classes to make our posts look pretty which is cool Cool | :cool:

From the examples you have given, it seems it may need a little more attention when time allows.

I'm not a web dev, strictly desktop for me though I've dabbled a little obviously. Perhaps a csv classes attribute in the pre tag?
