Ah, yes. You noticed that particular largish pachyderm in the room.
Let me get coffee. Never let me near the database for custom work without coffee.

green menu Articles/Chapters and Sections/C#, after churning away some 10 seconds, presents a long list (a count would be nice!) of articles sorted by Score, with a header line suggesting it is sortable also by title, update date, and author. Alas it isn't.

Hi Chris,
Just came across a Question posted by this OP[^].
I deleted the thread[^], but based on the discussion, you might think of taking some action.

Great idea, adding the Chinese and Hindi forums! We're going international - WOOT!
Good job, for what it's worth from one of the charter denizens. I heartily approve!

Can you add this in the forum guidelines:
Understand that Hindi/Chinese isn't everyone's first language so be lenient of bad spelling and grammar.

....CP is not the same anymore.
You see Hindi and Chinese forums ( ).
This is a good move.
Silverlight and WPF forums are clubbed together now ( ).
I feel that these should be separate forums now - considering Microsoft is now going to leverage both these technologies (and not Win Forms which has a separate forum anyway).

Hi,
I've used Thunderbird for reading the articles for years and about a month or so ago the html rendering in the Thunderbird reader pane has become huge [http://www.aquarius.com.au/tbird.jpg]
Has anyone discovered how to reduce it back to 'normal'?

Click the 'Full Site' link at the top left.
Our Mobile device browser file we use is completely unreliable. I think it's time to pull it. Pity, since it's open source, comprehensive, and the only thing that seems to have active participation in updating.

That sort of defeats the purpose really of the Thunderbird Newsreader.
I liked the ability to read the first paragraph or two and then scroll down and read the whole article if it interests me. If it grabbed my attention I would then open the page in the browser window.
Clicking "Full Site" opens yet another browser window/tab which I then need to close and then repeat this process for each item - the majority of which don't interest me.
This behaviour only started a month or so ago so somewhere, someone has changed something and as far as I can tell it is most likely a Thunderbird issue.

Shouldn't the new forums have posting guidelines associated with them?

Why would it matter? It doesn't seem to help the native English speakers....

Well, lets say... it helps 10/100 people posting stuff.
I think, We should think of those 10 who follows them instead of those 90 who don't!

But they're kinda hard to find, IMO. Would it work like this? I have my doubts.
Also, there are sometimes those weird posts in what I guess might be Arabic, maybe they could use their own forum as well..
Good move though

I would have thought that they should actually be in the General Programming section by default.

That would make sense, the subforums themselves the are called "General Programming", so why should they be in General Discussions?

If this idea clicks, you'd need more than just a handful of moderators on those forums.

This isn't a bug. It's a deliberate policy so that your article doesn't disappear due to a single univoter.

Hi
Under the Q & A section --> "Views" shows the count each time user view the question irrespective if the same user clicks to view again and again. I hope it should be only once the "Views" count increment for a particular user, If same user clicks again and again then "Views" count should not be increased.
