You could significantly make it more obvious if you add a chevron on the right side of the text (as you do with the user-settings menu on the top right where the chevron appears on the right of the user name).

Ah, you mean the ice-cream cone?

thanks for the suggestions.
it is right i might filter via the sick menu. but why do you remove/replace things that worked perfectly user friendly with something strange? things worked before with a single click perfectly.

Not sure why you are asking me. I'm just a user like you. But I imagine the answer is that they are going through upgrades. After all, DOS worked perfectly fine, but somebody felt the need to upgrade that for some reason.

Whatever "s.codeproject.com" is, my browser (Firefox) seems to be getting wedged accessing it... a lot... when loading the homepage, forums, etc.

A couple of our older servers decided to fall asleep on the job. We're using large cattle prods on them now.

CP is painfully slow - > 50% timeouts (FF3.6), and fails to load CSS quite often. Done all the obvious, including clearing cache. (Had to reboot anyway for other reasons.)

Same here. From this morning I have noticed it.
Proxy reports connection timeout -or- as per OP, the CSS fails to load.

Nope, not just you, it is pretty bad this morning.....

It's not actually slow: technically it's very, very fast. When you hit a server that's working.
A couple of our older servers weren't working correctly so we're giving them a talking to.
Sorry about that.

Apparently they are still hungry. Service is still patchy.

keeps showing up on ever freakin' link I click on now... wtf.
[EDIT]
It only happens if I go to me settings page and then move off that page and go anywhere in the site. If I go to another website and then come back to CP it doesn't happen anymore. weird.

When you go to your settings page, which link are you clicking to leave that page? It should be a http://, not a https:// link. If it's https then I'll fix it.

Hi Chris,
Same thing was happening to me just before, and yes, it took me to https when leaving my settings.

The link back to the Lounge in the green bar... after that, everything remains https...
[Edit]
To clarify, I mean the actual menu title in the bar, not the subitem...

Chris,
Just as Damian has said if I click on "any" link it stays on https:// rather than going back to http://. I am using IE 7 with windows XP SP2.
Thanks.

Yes, but have you fixed and rolled it out yet? I ask because it's still not working for me - it still takes me to https...
