I don't think any were mentioned by name, but it wasn't just the smut provider being sued[^] who was using a javascript flaw to snoop on visitors.

Some probably got rolled by the companies they bought advertising from.

Hi,
I have written article recently and at the time of preview & inside WYSIWYG Editor It seems to be everything fine ,But when I update and publish the article at that everything is being messed up. In other word text other then code is missing.
It's showing only code snippets inside <pre> tags and skipping the text written in <p> tags.
and some text are being wrapped up in <code> text though not attached.
Kindly take a look.
Thanks.

Hey guys,
Not sure if this a bug or a glitch or I'm just doing something wrong, but my technical blog over at blog spot hasn't synced in quite some time. I've got CodeProject in the tags and have added the rel link.

Any clues?

Hi,
I just checked your blog. It is not syncing to CodeProject because, your post length is too small to include as a Technical Blog feed. The length of post which has the recommended size, will automatically fetch by CP.

Ah. That makes sense. I figured it was something simple. Didn't realize there was a size rule.
Thanks Kunal

There's a lack of spacing between elements enclosed in <code> tags and the text following them. While edits to change this are viewable on preview this isn't the case once the article is updated. I hope this isn't just me re-exercising an oversight.

For horizontal spacing, HTML does space compaction, i.e. it replaces multiple spaces by a single one, even when HTML tags are in between those spaces. You could take advantage of not doing the same.
If you're concerned about vertical spacing between a code snippet and the next text paragraph, I must urge you to use PRE tags, not CODE tags, for the code snippets.

Thanks for the feedback Luc. I have to wonder though, why are edits visible when previewing an article but not in effect after updating. I added spaces manually, plus some minor edits, clicked on preview button and everything looked as I expected. Ater submitting changes and viewing the article nothing had changed. Does HTML space compacting not apply in the preview window?

I don't know as I tend to not use the CodeProject article preview; I compose and check my articles in another environment, and just check the result once more when it has been published.

This seems to be a recent issue as i've noticed it on other articles. My previous edits on my articles did not experience this issue. I write my articles in Dreamweaver then copy paste the markup, minus html and body tags, to the submission wizard. I then add the necessary cp links for source files and images. This has worked well till recently when this issue cropped up in my recent article.

Found the issue. Will upload today.

Apologies up front for being cynical and paranoid (especially to the party concerned), but considering what's been going on...
Could someone (admin / staff) check whether this[^] user is the same one as the author of this[^]? (There's an article in the CP moderation list)
Another thing - what's CP's policy on content copied from other sites by the same author?
(I'm not touching the article, may be seen as conflict of interests. The reason is left as an exercise for the reader )

I've inquired.

It would be nice to see a list of all the edits you have made and to be able to sort the list by forum or date. Thanks for considering. I know this has most likely been asked already...I'm just too lazy to search right now.

Hi Shashank,
Your article contained text copied from this article[^] without giving reference to it, so it had to be removed.
Please let me know if you have any questions about this
