I accidentally started reading Embedded/Mobile (;)) and noticed there are no links there for rating posts. Not that it's a big problem, just thought I'd mention it.

Is anyone aware of an RSS feed for the articles on CodeProject? Or is there any plans of creating one?
Thanks
Wes

Nope...instead CP supports Web Service
I believe Chris responded to that question once with "RSS feeds? Oh, that's so 90's" (Taka Muraoka words)
CP has a web service which Taka Muraoka convert into an RSS feed and then just plug into the normal processing.

One of the things that I love about coming to The Code Project (besides reading great articles ) is that you get input from all over the place, however, I sometimes find it hard to guess or know where people are from by just reading their post (unless it's Paul Watson with the nice logo in his sig).
My suggestion is adding to the "My Settings" portion of user options the ability to allow people to show a flag beside their name in their posts (or somewhere that makes sense). So, if a person decides to show (or maybe don't even make it an option for users to reduce the overhead of including this feature) this a little icon of their nationality would appear beside their name in the post listings.
I don't know how easy it would be to find such icons or even make them ... but I think it would be one of those "little things" that adds a lot to the site.
Just a thought,
Wally Atkins

I found a link (using Google, of course) to a free collection of National Flags Icons[^]
I'd like to submit myself for putting in some time with Photoshop to make a collection of small GIF images from these icons if this suggestion comes to be included in CP (heck, I might just make them to use on my website ).

Perhaps people could specify their home country as well as their current location in their profile??? Just a thought. I think this might have been suggested before Chris. Sorry if it has.

Bit OT but... I have just finished reading Erections to Elections by Pieter-Dirk Uys (Evita Bezuidenhout.) Hilarious and thought provoking book. In it he was flabbergasted at the whole voter registration issue in 1998. You registered where you lived, but most people could only vote where they worked. Yet the rules were you could only vote where you had registered. The fact that that rule only came out after most people had registered was nuts. Many people working in the city but registered back in their "homelands" could not vote then.
Pieter slyly remarked with Zapiros help: Hey Pik (as in Botha), look at that, we were so stupid. We opressed the blacks to stop them voting, but the new government is so much smarter. They stop people from voting through sheer incompetence.
Good book, recommend reading it. Your post just reminded me of it, how people often have a home and work address, one of which they are proud of, the other which they need.

Suggestions for Search in Comments/Posts:
1. It allows search on Keywords, Posted by, Messages posted between . But it would make better if allow combination of above three with Forum option.
Ex: Search only in Visual C++ Forum.
2. I was seaching for my old comments/posts, then I saw [Modify|Delete] option for the old posts. Then to test it, I tried to modify the post but I got this error.
What's use of [Modify|Delete] for the old posts?
