Hi,
your new web's layout is very beautiful. I have a trouble in article "Charting-in-NET-4".The archive file is browsable but where is the dowload command for it?
Thank you

If you mean this one: Charting in .NET 4[^] please try to give a link in future - it helps people to find the exact article you mean (and there are a lot of them!)
If that is it, then I see no download either, but then I don't really see an article there either - that is at best a Tip.
While it is possible that the recent changes have lost a lot of content (including the download) I can't see any reason why that was let through in the first place!

Yes, the link is just that. This is not an article as I incorrectly reported but of a tips.
In the future I'll try to add the link to the page.
Thanks for your help.

Hapenning to me in chrome under weven when I re-size. The screenshot is @125%, other zoom levels have differing levels of correctness.
FF seems fine, IE seems to have very minor problems at high zoom in & out.

I see it as well in Firefox. The offset seems random and does not depend on the zoom level. It seems to happen while zooming in or out, then it resets. I am guessing it has something to do with how fast the rendering engine works.

Dear CP,
At the bottom of every article there is a link Article Top tat should bring you at the top of the page. Since the new version got in, it is not working (tried on Chrome, latest version).
Cheers

Is the Metro UI against separators in menus?

... ask a few of us oldies to beta test the new UI ? (Or maybe I just reckoned I am not member of the club).
I am feeling microsofted.
Feedback (if any required): Overall very good, for the rest, same as everyone (separate threads more clearly (with a light orange shade?), grey on white is not senior-friendly, too much space kills the space, too much white kills the white.)
Thanks for keeping Bob and bit of orange

Because the oldies are stuck in their old ways?

Sure, but there is always some good advice to be taken from them.

Hey, I'm (reasonably) happy with the new layout, and using it as I type. It's even better when I set text size to 90% in Chrome. Pah, you kids know nothing.
One of these days I'm going to think of a really clever signature.

Seems like some oldies didn't like that comment.
And no, I don't think it was you, you would have told me so.
I have to admit that I'm not generally negative to the new layout, even if it might seem so from my posts.
I'm only negative to specifics. And it seems to me that most people have similar opinions about which shortcomings there are.
And they will be ironed out soon enough I believe.
I'm also using 90% size by the way.

Must be more than 1. My 5 didn't counteract much either.

Yup. And when you find a site called The Fake Project, it will be my design; and I announced the design here[^].

That was a good article. Did read it when Pete did do a shameless plug on it earlier this week or last!
Just didn't realise he puts his article ideas there first.

Nice freakin' change Chris! Kudos to you and the CP team!
Any reason the main menu (e.g., home) is not Title case? I prefer Title case. Let my will be done. Pretty please!

Chris had an allergic reaction to VS2012. This was the result.

That would explain it. Two wrongs don't make a right though.
In your sig, the b in "My blog" needs to be capitalized. Just saying!

Firstly, I think it did need an update. The old orange and fixed Arial text looked a bit 90s.
However I do have a few complaints:
- The forum bar on the left no longer shows all forums,
and nor does it have highlighting for forums with new posts. This is how I have always navigated around the forums I'm interested in and I think that is a big mistake. There is plenty of vertical space to still have a full list there and to bring back highlighting of the current forum and forums with new posts. Edit: actually, it does have highlighting. But I can't see it for all forums without expanding every section manually. - It is an unstructured sea of white. It will hurt my eyes after not very long, and it's hard to see the structure of the page. I think the navbars (left and top) should have some shading, a pastel orange perhaps.
- In articles, H3 headings are more prominent than H2 ones. Make H2s a darker orange, or bold.
