Dear Sir,
I don't know this is a genuine question. But iam asking you. How much time take to re activate the account back?

It would be a nice touch if when a message is automatically removed and the user is also deleted due to spam reports if the whole message also vanished. At the moment, we have ten threads in a row in the Lounge all of which are just "Message automatically removed" by the same (deleted) author, and they kinda make the place look untidy!
Not that anyone here is at all OCD, no, no, not at all...

We had this (at least a version of this), and it ended up with legit members having their accounts cancelled. I'm not keen to revisit that, especially given that one of the members whose accounts was cancelled is armed

I'm not suggesting that all messages associated with a user are auto deleted, just those that are empty of replies and have also been marked as spam and "Automatically Removed" to stop the forum looking like a war zone when the spammers have been as active as recently.
I can see what you're saying, and the last thing I want to do is start removing all of a users messages!

Sometime in the past year the CP editor was updated to handle paste events from Opera. I'm not sure when exactly it happened because I was normally visiting CP in FF because the reduced functionality editor was more of a pain than switching browsers; but now everything appears to be working perfectly in Opera. Give the hamsters an extra serving of whiskey soaked pellets for me.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Since Lounge voting has been turned off for quite a while (and I haven't seen any update, in over a month, from CP, on whether or not it will return), I think it would be an interesting time to survey the membership on voting in general, as well as, specifically, what type of voting, if any, would be appropriate to the Lounge.
Merry Xmas, Bill
"We live in a world ruled by fictions: mass merchandising, advertising, politics as advertising, instant translation of science, technology, into popular imagery, increasing blur of identity in realms of consumer goods, preempting any free, original, imaginative, response to experience by the television screen. We live in an enormous novel. For a writer it's less necessary to invent a novel's fictional content: fiction's already there. A writer's task is to invent a reality." J. G. Ballard, 1974

I read some time ago about the possiblity of adding "good message" button to +5 and the standard reports.
I think that would be a nice idea to avoid the univoters, giving the rest the possiblity of highlighting good posts. At least in the social forums.

I think the way Chris has it set up right now, intentional or not, is nice. Put the points where the knowledge and help is at, and leave it out of bar room banter.
You have a happy holiday, as well.

If it has been deleted, there was a reason for that. The commonest reason is because the author does not want it published anymore. We have to respect that.

I suspect it has something to do with the Hebrew characters which are written right to left.
One of these days I'm going to think of a really clever signature.

Hi Chris,
I recently changed my email address for my account, as a result, I got a new member ID which replaced my old one 572967. I like to get my old member ID back because i have earned 3693 points with 4 articles posted. I hate to lose the points because they are quite hard to reach. Please let me know if it is possible. And anything you need to verify my membship.
Thanks
Hanbo

The offsetting of subsequent replies to this message is not occurring. They all appear to be on the same level with one another, except the orange box around the messages is offsetting...

Can it be that you posted the false link?
It points to a Website (ThePoke) not to a CP-Post

That looks odd... true.
But it has easy local solution. Not to use the default "Re: Title of previous one" and edit the first message to avoid accumulating problems
Let's see what Chris & Co. say

How about avoiding posting long (unspaced) words that render poorly on all modern browsers?

Where is the challenge for Chris in that, it's not like he has anything between to do!
