Hi CP team ,
you guys doing amazing work. what i suggest is please provide keyword functionality so that we can find self post question very quickly . many time there are some scenrio occurs in the project and we also know that this question i asked before as well . So it always take me long time to search that question for answer again within my question section . So if you juest provide keyword search within that block it would be more nice

Yeah - it's an annoying dichotomy introduced when we opened RootAdmin.com[^]. Basically you have two accounts: your site membership and your network user. The network-wide use account gives you sign-in to everything - CP.TV, RootAdmin, CodeProject and Workspaces, and this account provides you a unique username (and ID). The member acocunt is site-specific and has settings for stuff related purely to the site you're currently on.
Previously we only had MemberID, but now you have a userID too.

Sorry about the thread-hijacking, but did you give up on getting my account working on RootAdmin? Whenever I go to the site, it wants to log me in with the (now non-existing) "Soren Madsen" account instead of the SoMad account and both automatic and manual login attempts fail.

I just changed my email address in "My Settings" and immediately lost 250 points.
Presumably due to the email not being confirmed. "Complete a Professional Profile (undo)"
I did not receive a confirmation email at the new address.
I changed the email address again to a different email address, and still did not receive a confirmation email message.
When I opened this discussion forum I was informed that I needed to confirm the email.
I clicked the offered link and I did get the confirmation email.
I did click on the link in the email and it said that it was confirmed, however the points were not restored.
So... assuming the hamsters are healthy:
What did I do incorrectly?
(How do I change it to the email that I intended?)
Why did the confirmation email require specific interaction from me in order to be sent? (or did it?)
What happened to the points?
Thanks

Got it.
It *seems* that changing the company name cleared the company size?
I didn't explicitly reset it when I changed the company name.

Nope, I'm not talking about when the site is displayed in the IDE. What I'm talking about here is the fact that the Feature Forums has a Mobile section but we also have a separate Mobile Development that has Android under it. Surely we should have one or the other - not both. It's a touch confusing.

If you got rid of Mobile where would you put questions about Windows Phone, or iPhone?
I figure the better one would be to add a couple forums for Windows, Apple, maybe Blackberry, and then a catch-all.

Hi,
We read articles from top to bottom. Once finished reading it, I immediately want to vote.
So, it would be helpful if Voting button is at bottom (as it was earlier.).
Many people (like me ) are lazy and skip voting because they need to scroll to top un-necessarily.

While I agree, there is an easy way to scroll to the top of the article: at the bottom, there is an "Article Top" link.

And there you have the reason voting is at the bottom of the article: To get to the voting UI, you need to have at least scrolled down. This prevents people just voting articles they've just opened, hopefully they'll have gone to the lengths of actually reading the thing they've vote for, but I've seen at least one where article where this clearly wasn't the case.

Uhmmm... The voting thingy was moved to the top of the article not too long ago. I was trying to find the announcement Chris made about it so I could link to it, but it could have been in one of the Newsletters.

Ahh, I'm not around as much as I used to be. The rotters are making me actually work.

I agree, voting button at top usually would increase no. of instances and probability where people votes without reading the article.

I know the obvious workaround/short cut key to scroll to top.
But... According to me, keeping voting button at bottom makes more sense.

Can we have a private page or post to save things like some reminders^, templates*, notes^, etc.,? Please
I checked blog(in profile page) but there's no option to save a post in private mode.

Yes but I think it's not suitable for "frequent updating things".

We could, but I'll be honest and say it would be so far down my priorities at the moment to not want to recommend holding your breath.
