Interesting, indeed.
Thanks for replying. I won't post any more issues with this...I sort of promise.

It works fine in Chrome for me. Maybe it would help if you post the link that is not working for you.

Have you tried hitting Ctrl+F5?
It's working fine for me.
[Edit: There was an issue after all. Found, fixed, deployed]

In articles forums,
When a notification lead to a post that is the first of page 2, it fail.
CP simply display the article with page 1 of forum ans stops here instead of jumping to the post.

I assumed that , to prevent plagiarized article being published here, Moderators do extensive due diligence before approving the article. But For some reason, mine was approved in few minutes after informing Sean about image issue. Sean answered that he cannot fix the issues on pending status. So my question is, does it not make sense to put the article back in moderation queue after Sean fixed the bug?
I am not complaining, actually I was pleasantly surprised at fast approval and just wanted to make sure, there is no loophole for article to be published ,when image issue happens.

Lol, You can if you want to but there is nothing to find.
I posted this question because I felt , my earlier joke about fast article approval would be misused by others

Every few days, the site seems to forget my settings - the layout gets reset to "fixed", the forum display options are reset to the default, and the "email me" and "allow private email" options are re-selected.
Is there a bug lurking somewhere, or is it just me?

I find that if you visit one of the forums without being logged in it will randomise the forum display messages. When I then log-in it keeps these random settings rather than loading my saved ones. Perhaps this is what you are seeing?

Nope - I'm always logged in.
Apart from a brief bug at the end of May, I don't think I've been logged out since 2002.

You've had the same machine since then?

No, but I've transferred the browser profile between machines.

I'm suspecting it's a database load issue. Our new hosting setup seems to be having a few teething problems that we're still trying to get to the bottom of.
When it can't get your settings it goes back to default settings, and these in turn will get set as your new defaults if you try and update.

... Do you hash message content and check the forum for hash matches?
Because if so, I think I just got a false match in the lounge.
Tried several times to post a lounge message:
I know what you mean, but I'd have thought it would shred it rather than accelerate it that much - like trying to push a water balloon out of the way by hitting it with a cricket bat! but every time I got a "already posted" message. Checked the moderation queue and the forum in a different tab several times, but it wouldn't post until I changed the final space to a newline. Then it went straight in.
Ideas?
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Even though plagiarism often results to closing the account I'd suggest that when an article is closed because of plagiarism, all points earned from that article (writing, votes, downloads etc) would be also removed.
This way the 'benefit' would be removed but perhaps more importantly the remaining articles and posts (if any) would show correct amount of total points for the author.

This is already the case.
