First time I noticed the "notifications" was about two weeks ago.
Seems like it might be useful.
However, I now have 185 pages of unread notifications. I can clear them, but only by doing one page at a time. So "Select All" (sets flag on visible page) then "Mark Selected as Read". Then do it for next page.
Be nice to have a way to either really select all or just clear all of them.

I can't see the text at the moment, but isn't there a "Clear" or "Mark all as read" button at the bottom of the page?
EDIT: It's actually at the top of the page, and it's "Clear all".

Ah!!!
You are right. I figured that just meant the ones that had been selected.

The status row on the top says I have 1 notification, but if I click it, there is nothing?

See my comment below... It is a 'Big brother is watching you' notification...

Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

It's an odd one. It doesn't appear in the notifications list, but if you hover over the notification icon, you should get a link to click on.
If you can't get to it, try this one: Email Consent Form[^]

- On Mac/Chrome, if I go slowly from a menu to the items, the menu disappears. I need to move fast enough to make the precision lose some pixels... which is becoming harder with more high resolution mouses etc;
- There's a warning that I have a message.. but when I click on it, I see a page saying: No new messages. (or notifications... I don't care about the word)

About 2) (just solved it )
Hover on the 'red 1' and wait the tooltip come alive. Hover over the notification massage (about email confirmation). It is a link that will take you to the confirmation page...

Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?

Hello Everyone,
Today, I've logged into my CodeProject's account and noticed that I've received a notification message asking me to confirm my e-mail address. At last, I've confirmed my e-mail multiple times, but the notification message is still displayed at the top of my account page when I'm logged in.
My questions are: Has my e-mail address already been confirmed ?
And also will the notification message no longer be displayed when I'm logged in ?

+1 with that (I still see the red notification even I already confirmed it)

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

Me too have a red one states 'Your email needs to be confirmed', but no email or other link to actually do the confirmation...

+1 here.
The notification never goes away. Clicking the link does take you to the SendConfirmRequest.aspx page and does send an email. Clicking the verification link in the email works as expected except the notification never leaves the notifications screen or the little red number at the top of the page.

We've had to do some reworking due to CASL requirements. Looks like I (and one of the unit tests) missed something. I'll get it sorted later today.

Looks like you've confirmed your address today. If you open a new browser window do you still see the message?

I did. I was still seeing the message long after.
Now it's been replaced by the "It's a CASL thing". That worked as expected and unexpected notifications are no longer showing up.
Thanks!

I am having the same issue, Chris. The message doesn't go away for me, even if I save my email settings multiple times. I will try again in the morning.

Now the notification changed its text and became a link to assure Canadian government of our insanity of trusting CP - all good

We're going to remove that for non-Canadians. We're being overly paranoid.
