This is probably a Time Zone issue. I'll look into it.

This user has called my attention because the reputation is way over the usual standards for an account that is a couple of hours old
Allysia Goss - Professional Profile[^] 801 participant points.
Usually registering an account, the newsletter and other possible things has given (up to now) 351 or 501, but 801 is the first time I see it.
Is it correct?

It looks like they somehow got double credit for some reputation points.
I'll be looking into this.

It would be nice to tag certain "abused" QA entries as "readonly" to stop people from posting garbage as solutions.
For example, the "Convert language A to language B" questions where noobs think this is a code conversion service and they just post a code snippet thinking they'll get the converted code written for them.

Please simply delete the question or report it as "Not a Question". No need to have debris lying around.

It's something more along the lines of a legit question, but now old, that people have answered with legit answers, but now, a couple years later, people are posting new "Solutions" with their own code they seem to want converted to whatever language was in the OP's title.

|
|

Ah!
So mark them as "not an answer"!
In all seriousness: Quick Answers needs to be a place of good questions and direct answers. The less debris people have to wade through the more useful it is. We strongly encourage everyone to cleanup (edit, refine, clarify - or delete) any messy bits you come across.

We do. The problem is we're on Solution 20, 30 something on these questions and they keep getting popped up to the top of the queue over and over again.
|
|
|
|
|
That is why I changed the title. Perhaps they will go somewhere else now.
|
|
|

...so the ability to lock a question is needed then.

We did that a couple of times and then we were "blamed" by some long time users, that we are nobody to delete things and similars...
In my case... I got tired of trying to argue with them.

If no one has posted more than an exploratory comment and no answer, those would be safe to delete. How could a long time user find issue if the question no longer exists, and they had never taken part of it?
Thanks,

would it be possible to add a  icon?

I know we have the icon, but it is not exactly the same...

If you're on Windows 10, it's simple: press Win+., type "falcepalm", and select the emoji. π
Alternatively, you could search for them on Emojipedia[^] and use copy+paste.

Something is wrong with page presentation - just an fyi. I've seen this for the last month, and I'm not sure if its a browser update or something on the cp server. I see it on the left menu and the right. Scroll down, come back up - all is well.
