I uploaded them several times. I even deleted the old version before uploading the new version. Weird.

I had issues when replacing an image with another using the same file name. It might well have been my browser cache, though, with the site working OK.

BTW, the fact that the article wizard rewrites your markup is truly annoying. One misplaced tag causes it to loose its mind trying to make sense of things.

I tried to eyeroll Kent's "guitar gently weeps" lounge post, and after a bit of think time, it showed me "unknown failure" in the reaction area.
But when I reopened it, all is good. I think I may have tried to tag it twice, but my mouseclick counter needs caffeine.

I noticed we no longer get rep points for editing our own articles. Is that "just the way it is" now, or is it an unintended victim of the WuFlu?

I received a modest number of Editor points when I wrote my first few articles, but that was over a year ago, and I actually thought it was an error. I haven't seen any since. If they're available, my guess is that the changes have to be significant, because a lot of edits are minor. It'll be interesting to see what the hamster masters have to say about this.

In my case, the file download changed, new images were added, and text was changed. I think there was a limit to how many times per day, but other than that, wditing your own artlcles was worth 5 points a shot. Just wondering if that was turned off...

You need to change more than 10% of the text for it to be considered a non-minor change and accrue points.

ahh, so the fact that the downloadable source file changed doesn't count as updating?

No, unfortunately, and for two reasons
1. We were seeing downloads being uploaded many, many times as people made small tweaks or renames or added missing bits
2. It was too complicated to try and unpack and compare download files to see if they were to be considered a major change. Uploading, then removing the ballast that some forget to remove, and re-uploading, isn't exactly a major update in information, but it's a major update from the point of view of the data. Our attention span is way too short for those shenanigans.

You can register another, such as Facebook, and then log in. Once you do, you can remove the other login.
You need a valid CodeProject account to use the social login.
Even better, just login with the email and password you used when you created your CodeProject account.

For a long time, I have seen code corrupted in Q&A questions.
I just discovered how it happen with a typo while writing a solution.
Input is :
anyone wanna help me out?
bold
anyone <wanna help me out?
bold
anyone <wanna help me out?
and Preview is :
anyone wanna help me out?
bold
anyone <wanna help="" me="" out?
<b="">bold
anyone
Looks like the <something is recognized as a beginning of tag.
Text is polluted until a end of tag, or just cut if no tag after.

Interesting, and good sleuthing.
We really should just switch to Markdown and be done with it.

When articles include code with tabs, tabs are 4 spaces while published.
But article editor (at least in source mode) are 8 spaces for a tab.
And same with Q&A editor.

I was just taking a look at the Top Articles[^] and I noticed that they all have popularity values of 0.0.
Do you know why that is? It must just be incorrect in the list, right?
In case it changes, here is what I see (look closely at the Popularity value of these top 5 articles[^]).
I tried to search to see if this has already been reported and I didn't find anything.

I'm now deciding if my feelings are hurt and my self image crushed.
You added new icon to the Reactions - and my suggestion wasn't amongst them. Do me of the variations on the 'happy face' really provide a more telling commentary? A little face with it's tongue stuck out rather than suggesting the comment was worthy of a good hard flush?
You have mighty powers - you should remember to use them for good ! 🐓💩*

I guess I'm just really good at making friends ! There were a few little -2 hits in the last couple of weeks but no big deal - but sometimes, as in this web snippet, it's a bit puzzling. Two of the other three answers also said, essentially, do your own homework and were not similarly embellished.
Well, I guess it will take just a bit longer to catch up to OG.
Anyone else enjoying this "visitor" or do I get to feel really special ?
