Don't know if this is just me but trying the download the source from CalcStar: A C++ Math Expression Evaluator[^] is super slow and eventually times out - repeatedly.
Just a heads-up...
ps. Same trying to download the source from ToDoList.
pps. Sydney, Australia - if that makes any difference

Chris is always complaining about the quality of the Aus internet service, and the governments redefinition of high-speed.
Most of the time when he is there and has a large transfer to make, he will use his phone as a hot spot as it is faster, and more reliable, than the wire-to-house 'high-speed🤑' connection.

I have particular Apps or Webs always in Dark Mode and the rest I trust in F.Lux to reduce the light and the eye strain at noon / night.
But there are days where I activate it on purpose.
What would mean, I would have selected a mix of answers 3, 4, and 6.

It's a bit late now and I did go back and forth on whether I'd do multiple choice. The issue is in this particular poll a multiple choice answer would allow totally contradictory answers. We have the ability to have a single choice override others (ie you pick option X, and that then means no other options will be counted in your vote), but we don't have "If X, then Y isn't allowed, if Z then W isn't allowed etc)"
These things are never perfect. They are simply there to get a rough gauge of how everyone is feeling and provide a chance to discuss. But your point is understood.
cheers

I have DevOps questions. Where should they be posted?
|

DevOps stuff should be posted to /dev/null.
But what do you mean by DevOps? I've heard rather different definitions.
I guessing that the Application Lifecycle[^] forum would be most appropriate.

I just tested the option because of message below...
When "Treat my content as plain text, not HTML" then the signature gets up into the edit box and it disappeared of the "signature" field in later edits.
Deactivating the option and copying the signature back to its field doesn't make any change if you leave empty spaces or carriage returns at the end of the message. If you delete everything until the last written letter / symbol, then the signature gets shown properly again.
Is that correct?

If your message is plain text then it's assumed it's truly plain text: no HTML, and everything in it will be HTML encoded when viewed. This means we can't add markers into the message that allow us to pull out the signature when you edit the message.
eg for me, the HTML is
...message text...
<div class="signature">cheers<br>
Chris Maunder</div>
So when we edit a message I post, the DIV with class "signature" allows us to pull out the sig and put it in the signature box.
In text mode the message is just
...message text...
cheers
Chris Maunder
I'm sure we could use a little AI to pull out signatures from plain text, but it's way too much work
cheers

A spammy member report in S&A: Spammer from moderation queue (Red&White)[^]

I have clicked on "edit" and then to "OK" without changing anything and it didn't happen to me.
Can you re-edit without changing anything to see if it is consistent for you?
Have you the "encode html" active in your settings?

It's consistent - I re-edited it to get the pictures, and it's unchanged.
Paste options are set to "best guess".

It looks like someone 'fixed' the problem, so of course I have nothing to look at to see the issue.
If it happens again, please report the problem in B&S and wait until I get a chance to look at it.

It's a bugger when that happens.
Can you roll it back?

Unfortunately not.
Forum Messages do not have history the same way the Articles do.

That was me, sorry.
I just hit "edit" and "post message" without changing anything at all.
Next time, I'll do nothing.

As per title. Article lists usually fail to load fully on my iPad, and take ages if they do. I do have an ad blocker, and I don’t know what to whitelist for CP ads (and will gladly add the URLs to the whitelist).
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?
The metaphorical solid rear-end expulsions have impacted the metaphorical motorized bladed rotating air movement mechanism.
Do questions with multiple question marks annoy you???

I'm PC, and have no noticeable problems - I use uBlock, and my whitelist is just "www.codeproject.com", nothing complicated.
