I would really appreciate if the syntax coloring that is available for articles would be available for messages, too. i.e. I would like to use <pre lang=c++> to apply syntax coloring to a code block in a message. When posting faulty code, I believe the poster should only post what is necessary for demonstrating the error. This really should only be a small snippet and I don't see how syntax highlighting would be of benefit beyond eye-candy. I mean, they are not quite the same, neither are they alike... so what's the point on keeping them together? Occasional timeouts when following a link are bearable, but getting thrown out IN THE MIDDLE OF NOTHING is becoming so annoying I consider to go cold turkey on CP*. It makes me angry. I am shouting at the site, I am shouting at you. I am thinking about enabling the ad filter. It is that ugly. I understand that you have no immediate solution. But we DO need fixes and workarounds for the time being. Currently, when I'm thrown out, I can't hit refresh, I can't hit "back". Even clicking "Stop" just after the page did load correctly does not help. A concerned reader. Technical Part: I get FetchAdd errors very frequently if I 1. have a window open for a while, maybe in background 2. Click on a message board link (message veiw set to The error is: URL "http://www.codeproject.com/info/error500.asp?500;http://www.codeproject.com/script/comments/fetchAd.asp", and HTTP/1.1 500 Server Error. It seems more prominent through a "long" wire (slower connection, additional proxy). Update: ran without problems through the entire evening, from my home connection. If it happens, and it hijacks the entire page, the ad cycling is gone until I can find a solution. Yet, yesterday was hell, and I'm afraid it will reoccur. When it happens again, is there any information that might help you? I know quite well how frustrating it is if you can't reproduce a problem.
