How about a Code Project Survivor competition? I know how much we all despise Survivor and a parody is in order. 10 regular(ish) authors are selected from CP. How we select them could be tricky, but we can manage. Begining of the first week each posts an article. One with the highest ranking at the end of the week gets immunity. The other 9 are then set a language-agnostic challenge to complete within 24 hours (world wide time zones have to be included of course.) The results are posted and we all vote on which is best, the one with the least amount of votes, gets kicked. In the case of a draw Chris chooses (or Bob could choose to keep Chris neutral of course), we don't have time to re-vote or do something else.) The next week there are just 9 authors, once again who have to each write an article. Repeat and stir a bit with different challenges and a few surprises. An alternative idea: The 10 are split into 2 camps (camp wOOt and camp Opinionated) and each camp collaborates to write an article. The camp with the best article, gets immunity, and the other camp has to do the challenge. Naturally 10 may be a bit much and last a bit long, so we can cut that down if needed.
