No. Last night I had big arguments with CG about VB and VC. CG ultimately got offended. That time I found out the lost quote from ATL mailing list. I still have to find who said this.

Oh no. Rama please don't feel down about this. As everyone has pointed out what you did was far more kick ass than what I did. I just hacked a simple little JavaScript loop. You went and created a DLL and managed to wangle it into IEs toolbar, very cool!
It is not just the destination or the results which are important. It is how you got there that counts too.

Chris, why does the Web Service GetLatestLoungeBrief only return the root level posts? Why not replies as well?

Hey Chris...
Would it be possible to add a feature to Who's Who to let us see other CPians in the same city as us? I think that would be cool cause then we could get together or something.

How about just country and state or similar division? City might be too granular, especially when you're in the boondocks like me.

That is a good idea, but city state or country would be a little better.

Chris I think this would be a good idea. You can probably complete this request during the 15 milliseconds that you aren't working on other projects for this site.

Looks like we´re having more than 10 article updates per day here, and that Last 10 updates list is a little short. Would be cool to expand it to 15 !?

Also I think it is good idea to seprate updated articles from new articles in home page.

I second that! Some people just make small edits to their articles so they hit the top 10 again and get more viewers and raters.

I see. That explains why I keep seeing "updated" on some articles but basically nothing much has changed!

Maybe. But here is not some advertisemant place or race for rating articles and do articles rating that much important?

In a perfect world, that would be correct; but alas not all of the people here have matured enough to understand it isn't how many views you get or how high your rating is; its whether your article helped someone in some way.
That is why I continue to post in the forums and write articles; to help others in the best way I see fit.

It also helps that all of Jambo's articles have 4-plus ratings

With the new weighted scheme for articals etc, I think the levels of bronze, silver, gold and platinum are not granular enough. As you can get to gold membership by posting 1 message and coming back 3 years later, after a while all users will be gold!
Why not have a tri rating system based on messages, number of articals and length of member ship.
So someone like Nish would have Platinum/Platinum/Silver
Me Silver/Silver/Gold
This can then rate a given person from 0 - 12 for their level. As a person who posts articals is more likely to give a rating deserving of the subject etc.
Also, has the change in rating been back calculated for the previous vote?

Any chance we can get XML instead of going the inline JScript route?
Reason for this is I'm keen to have "CP latest articles" on my homepage, but would like more control than setting a couple of global vars.
Cheers,
