It's not possible to specify code #include directive in the message text. Seems it's taking as an html tag. Putting code tag also could not help me.

I know for one that you need to replace > and < with the appropriate HTML - a &, then 'gt' or 'lt' (no quotes) then a semi-colon.
So you could have an SHTML include with <!-- #include file="blah.htm" -->
Then again, SHTML is no use with C# and the like.
Maybe you need to do something of the sort for a hash key? Although, it doesn't seem like there is one.

hmmm
It's hard to find out for a normal user. However I managed with lt and gt because I knew it. Even I'm seeing the CP FAQ for the first time  But for a normal user see it will be a bit difficult

Yeah... wouldn't hurt to put a link to it in that big empty space next to [New Message | Reply to a Message] on the [New | Reply] pages. And the modify page.

This link work as suggested was to go to the parent of the message (the one this message is replying to)
Apparently, it has two bad things :
1) if we have messages look like this
- (1) dsadasdasdas
- (2) sadasdasdasd
- (3) sadasdasdasd
Where 2 is replying to 1 and 3 is replying to 2, then the [Go to Thread Start] link in 2 and 3 goes to (1), in fact it may be better if the link on 2 goes to 1, and the one on 3 go to 2, as this will be helpful in large consecutive responds the same message.

2) This link also reloads the whole page, it may be better if you make it like selecting the message itself, without reloading the page, (using JS or whatever you use), as when I click on any message header it opens in it's place, that Go to Thread Start link would be good if you can make it doing the same behavior like this.

The only time that "Go to Thread Start" is useful is when the parent is off the page. If the parent is off the page then we need to do another request to get that page.
If we do everything via AJAX then a roundtrip call is still needed.

What LongHC is suggesting in his first point is that "Go to thread start" should actually be "Go to parent". I totally agree with this.

When replying for a message, we can quote all the text contained in the page. What is the necessity of that ? I tried with quoting soem text that is not related to the original message. And the quoted text will come like someperson wrote. ? Is it a problem or am I missing something ?

The whole post is yours. You can put anything in it. If i wanted to quote someone and make it look like they were saying something odd, like

...then i could. Of course, that would be somewhat pointless... 
So yeah, constraining what text you could quote might be a slight convenience, but really doesn't make a lot of difference. Just pay attention to what you're selecting 'fore hitting that quote button...

Hi Navaneeth,
If you highlight (insert caret, left click and hold, select text, then unclick) you can quote a selected area of the full body.
Otherwise, I've resorted to hand quouting a BLOCKQUOTE (use opening and closing tags) to achieve the same effect.

There are two C++ forums: C++/MFC and C++/CLI. When I look at the new C++ article, I see tons that don't fit into either of these categories, I mean C++ articles that are not about MFC or CLI. Usually these are about standard C++. So, could we have a forum for standard C++?
This also applies to the article categories.

I use the CP search page frequently.
My search crititeria are always the same: just C++, include purgatory.
So I have to set my criteria everytime, which includes unchecking all the other boxes.
Please remember my settings, or include a single button to clear all check marks.

That's like MSDN. Every new page requires setting the Language filter to VB only.

The topics that are shown under Last 10 Updates shows updates from two days ago but this only happens in Firefox. In IE everything is OK

Look at the greeb bar at the top left. Do you have C# or VB.NET highlighted? Try choosing "All Topics"
