Hey Chris & Co, in the SoapBox,I tried to Select the text, and to click the Quote Selected Text it is not working.
But while doing that it says Done. But with Error in Page it says.?
What could be the Reason?
I tried for so many times it says the same always.

Did you ensure the page loaded completely for any dependency .JS files for completing the download? Because, I guess 'Quote Selected Text ' is by far the most heavily used feature in CP messageboards and I don't think CP Team would have left it untested.
It works for me even in this post too.

Hello,
Would you please consider listing the number of search results returned from a query (or number of pages). Sometimes when searching for an article where I know some of the keywords, I have to browse through a bunch of articles to find the one I want, and it would be nice to know in advance if I'd have to potentially browse through 1000 articles (in which case I'd revise my search terms).
Thanks,
Phil

And also make the number of returned results per page configurable.

This will be added

I was just curious about this dropdown and researched through the FAQ but I don't see it explained.
Message score threshold
I would assume that it means you only see messages that have scores above that threshold, but from what I can tell it doesn't do anything... maybe there has to be a certain number of votes for it to be considered, or something.
AFAIK it's the number of votes needed to gray a message out for a low score. Highly nonintuitive, and I suspect originally used for something else.

When a new message is posted in forums/Lounge, it appears in Homepage right? But why not messages from Soapbox?

One of the reasons the SB was created was to keep some of the 'salty' thread titles off of the homepage.

The soapbox and its content is probably the least impressive aspect about Codeproject. I am pretty sure Chris wouldn't want to advertise it anymore than he has to. Like Shog said once, the soapbox is CP's a***hole (spelling modified for Chris) - and you don't advertise your a***hole!

Ewww, that is one way to put it. Makes sense to me.

Not having a go at you, it just struck me as wierd that a .net site is not written in .net.
As far as I know it isn't completely written in ASP. What is happening is the site is being ported over to .NET but because it's a thriving community this has to be done bit by bit to provide as little disruption as possible. What we suspect, (Chris hasn't confirmed it as far as I know), is that .asp pages are being redirected to the ASP.NET hosting process anyway otherwise massive amounts of links will be broken and it's simpler this way.
It had been the way since .NET was evolving. I guess, a new version is also being developed by Chris team.
