It breaks the oposite direction in email notification. I get the 'hidden' top slice of your sig there.
Otherwise [Microsoft is] toast in the long term no matter how much money they've got. They would be already if the Linux community didn't have it's head so firmly up it's own command line buffer that it looks like taking 15 years to find the desktop.

Chris - if you hit reply to this message, you'll get an Error on line 951. It seems that my name might be causing a bit of an issue - you are using parameterised queries aren't you?
Now, one choice would be to get all the people on the planet with apostrophe's in their name to change them - or the reply could be fixed. This isn't some St Paddy's day hangover is it?

You're seeing a Javascript error. I'll see what's going on. Thanks
There we go. All fixed

Chris,
The Quote-Text is also broken when replying to Pete's posts - I am guessing it's that apostrophe at work again.

Ah - this explains why I cannot Quote-Selected-Text when I reply to your posts. Stop breaking CP, Pete!

Three symptoms.
1. Yesterday I replied someone in this "Bugs and Suggestions" forum. The message was successfully posted. I saw it there! And then I refresh IE. It's gone, forever!
2. In "VC++ MFC" forum today, I typed a lengthy message as my reply to someone this afternoon. I clicked [Post Message] button. CP was quite slow during that time. Then I got the error message: "The message has been posted" or something the like. Which means it should have been posted. So I clicked the link of VC++ forum to abort that editing page. The fact is, my message was not posted.
3. Again in "VC++ MFC" forum today, sometimes after having typed some lengthy messages and clicked [Post Message] button, I got the error message as "There is problem inserting your message". But actually the post which I was going to reply was still there! So it's not the problem related with deleted posts.

Maxwell,
Your posts are still there, at least your reply to my post about Last Visit not working. I had to expand the Date Filter to Last Week from Last Day to see it.

Maxwell,
I stand corrected. I had the Date Filter set to Last Day and couldn't see your post, changed it to Last Week and there it was. I posted my original reply at that time. I changed the Date Filter back to Last Day and went to the Lounge. Came back here with the Last Day setting still on and, Lo and Behold! your post is still there and it wasn't there before. Something strange is sure happening.

If you select a forum and have the Date Filter set to Last Day, and no changed messages are present, then you get the following message:
-- No messages --
Try changing the 'Messages Since' filter
This message should now read:
-- No messages --
Try changing the 'Date' filter

Fixed in next version (due mid week)

I can change the date filter from any setting to another, except for Last Visit. Whenever I select this and select Set Options, It resets (or just forgets) the Last Visit and leaves the selection on the last selected date filter.

Thank you, Chris. One problem though, if you have selected "Last Visit" and find the new posts, if you try to view the entire thread to see the new post in context, it will probably be the only post visible in the thread. If you change the Date Filter to Last Week or Last Month to expand the date range, the entire forum is reset and you have to find the thread all over again. Shouldn't View Thread sort of ignore the Date Filter? Or possibly, shouldn't the changed Date Filter only apply to the current view which is a single thread?

Chris,
You never responded to by question about viewing the thread when last visit was set, but I just found the way to get this. Instead of viewing the thread, bookmark it. Then go to your bookmark and access the thread from there. This expands the entire thread. When you are through viewing, delete the bookmark.
I did notice one thing about this, however. I had bookmarked that dumb thread from PallabGT (I believe) about data hiding (unfortunately I have just deleted this bookmark so I cannot reproduce the problem). When I revisited this data hiding thread, the front of the thread was displayed along with a pagination reference (this thread was many pages long). When I clicked on the next page, I was jerked out of the bookmarked forum, back to the forum from which I was visiting when I went to the header and clicked on my bookmarks.
Seems to be a problem with bookmarked multi-paged threads and visiting subsequent pages.

We have a problem with permalinks in ThreadView. I've added it to our bug list.

Editing is all screwed up now. This started last week I believe. It doesn't import the original post or subject and if you don't do it manually it completely overwrites the original post.

Poor Chris. The trouble I cause him... and vice versa, i suppose.
For future reference, you can add CPhog-specific bugs to our tracker here: http://trac.gixug.com/cphog/report[^]

Thanks man. I had to stop using CPhog when Chris changed something the other day
(the day he posted about it possibly breaking).
I feel bad about reporting anything since it's such a cool free script.

Well I just spent some time looking around at that. I have read some of the help but I am still mostly unable to decipher yet another wonderful browser based UI. Am I interpreting this correctly, the changes sets view indicates you have made changes as recently as 3/14? But I can't figure out how to the the latest scripts, can you get them from the tracker site? Or do I go back to your personal site to get them? I want to make sure I am running the latest stuff before I post a ticket for the editing bug I am experiencing.
