That's an understandable position. I still believe the user names shouldn't allow HTML, but another alternative is to not use the HTML tags in determining uniqueness. This will prevent members from using the same user name as someone else while still allowing the "fun" of having funky (and in some cases hard to read) names.
Even taking this approach, a one-time scrub, given enough warning, which looks for duplicates without using the HTML tags is probably appropriate. This would reset any duplicates to the "Member [id]" setting, except possibly for the user with the oldest join date.

I agree on that point and I never looked at it that way. But, this does not mean that the overall security of the site has to be compromised in order to let people have fun. Either HTML tags should be disallowed, or only the text and not the HTML tags should be considered as user name. Same text with different HTML tags should not be allowed.

Good to hear. I also agree with the other posts about not allowing HTML in the user name field. For those user names that already have HTML, with fair warning to give people enough time to remove the HTML themselves, a simple one-time process to revert them back to the original "Member [id]" would work just fine.

When I view the My Coupons page and have it list all my coupons, there is a link for Transactions. If you click that link you get a page with the following
Forbidden
You do not have permission to view this page
Is this supposed to happen or am I being my usual thick headed user.

For the last day I've been getting
"-- Unable to load messages due to high load or server error. Please try again --"
when trying to get to the lounge and C# fora. Both from home and the office.
Some fora work, and it appears the lounge works for others.
Is it something I said?

It seems the fora with a lot of messages are worst.

Here's a little one.
When you go back and edit a forum message to change the message icon (the only change), the message does not have the new icon. I tried leaving the forum and returning and the message still shows the original, incorrect icon.

I have posted few articles but when I log in and go to My Articles then i can only see one post. This is confusing a bit.However I search articles that I have posted and access those articles then I can edit those.
However, I have found the problem in the current bug list. So would you please take a look quickly?
