Apparently, you have to be a Gold Author or higher to see unpublished articles
|
|
|
|
|
I also wanted to give comments and look at the unpublished articles.
I faced the same thing and string of messages posted about it can be viewed here[^].
Chris told that, i am back to Silver in Authors from Gold and thus unable to look at them.
As per him, one need to be GOLD atleast for this. Here[^]

A quick answer I just posted got reformatted. Of particular note, all the indentation of the code was removed. I'm guessing that this is the result of an attempted bug fix that didn't quite make it yet. Please do not read this signature.

You and I were fighting over that one.
All fixed up.cheers,

Groups can participate just as much as individuals can. For instance, a company may create a group account to bring together several members (some of whom may come and go) in order to write articles. That company's group account should get the author points.
Alternatively, a set of members may create a collaboration group that they will use to write a CodeProject article that is an epic. Other members join, the article has a hugely popular download, and points are awarded. The collaborative group account gets the rep for this.cheers,

This message[^] contains something that has messed up the formatting of the whole forum.
Perhaps you could have a look? Maybe delete the message (after finding out what it contains)?

Hi There!
Well this is what I did, I pasted my code which includes HTML and the server side code. Apparantly I did not select the Encode point brackets (and other HTML) characters when pasting check box which pasted the html as is and that somehow crashed the forum. I did an edit and recopied the html code with the embed html tags embed checked and that seems to have fixed the issue. Please refer to the following URL to see the thread and the suggestions from other forum members.

Thanks.

Author points in the professional profile page and on the graph dont match.
Is this a graph caching issue?
Everything else on the graph seems to update correctly.Me, I'm dishonest. And a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for...

Oh good, you can expect a few "My Reputation Points were x but know they are only y [where x < y]" bug reports soon then Dalek Dave: There are many words that some find offensive, Homosexuality, Alcoholism, Religion, Visual Basic, Manchester United, Butter.

In the first, you forgot to close the PRE tag.
In the second, there are no keywords or syntax to highlight (no comments, no "int", no "foreach" etc)cheers,

Ok thanks... one more...
Whenever i paste anything in Q&A editor, it always comes up in a pre tag by default. Though i don't face the same thing if i paste it in the forum messages editor. It's little irritating at times. Is this a known thing? Intentionally done?

Artificial Intelligence at work.
It doesn't do PRE tags when you paste text though.
And yes, it would be the preferred forum behavior too, but the gods aren't completely with us yet.
PS: there are some controls beneath the edit box in Q&A
|
|
|
|
|
It does for just any text you paste there!

No it does not. I just CTRL/V'd three lines of text (from my above message) and did not get any HTML added to it.
BTW: what happens behind the scenes is based on this[^]

|

Sorry to say but i do get it!!!
I wrote my name in the Q&A editor, then did Cntrl+C, Cntrl+V => new text pasted in a C++ pre tag! any number of times i do this happens for me....
P.S.: I am taking of Q&A editor and not this message editor. They behave differently!
Environment: IE 7/8

Q&A editor works fine for me, I checked again with FF3 and IE7.
My LPCodeRecognizer will always say it is text when there is only one line pasted anyway.
Make sure your paste options are still at "auto detect".
If it persists, yake it up with Chris, qnd try providing some proof.

This article is missing at least one closing tag. I would edit it myself, but the author has prevented anyone but editors/admins from doing so.

BTW, I think it might be a good idea to disallow authors from being able to prevent editing by other users if their author points are below gold level..45 ACP - because shooting twice is just silly ----- "Why don't you tie a kerosene-soaked rag around your ankles so the ants won't climb up and eat your candy ass..." - Dale Earnhardt, 1997 ----- "The staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - J.
