Correct. The last visit time appears to be set to correspond to the time I click on the links from the insider. If I remember and it's sent early enough I'll note the time I click an insider link tomorrow morning to confirm this.

In the forums visit a page[^] that's old enough that the nav control at teh lower right shows an ellipsis in the page numbering. Hover your mouse cursor over the ellipsis. Note that it's highlighted the same way as the numbers which are clickable URLs are.

That is truly shocking. We've called a special team meeting to discuss our options here.
Heads are gonna roll.

I can justify 300 points
Sign up: 100
Newsletter sign in: 50 X 4 (newsletters) = 200
The other 100 is a mystery to me as well

+1 for logging in......
Dalek Dave: There are many words that some find offensive, Homosexuality, Alcoholism, Religion, Visual Basic, Manchester United, Butter.
Pete o'Hanlon: If it wasn't insulting tools, I'd say you were dumber than a bag of spanners.

Yeah but since he has been a member for less than 1 month he can't get 100 points for that.
Since you can only get 1 point per day for logging in that means a maximum of 31 points
so still 400-331= 69 points unaccounted for

The account looked like it was one day old to me, so literally +1!

The member opted into to 6 news letters.
6 Newsletters what are they, I only have 4 available Offers, Feedback, Newsletter and The Insider what are the other 2.
Perhaps opting out of a newsletter and opting back in further increases points? If so, I'm gonna opt into about 5,000 newsletters when I get home.
You know I was wondering if that would work, turns out it doesn't.
So this table[^] is wrong as it doesn't mention any such limit?
Try it, unsubscribe then re-subscribe to a newsletter and see what happens.
Also what are the 6 newsletters that Thiru mentioned as under my settings I only see 4.
no points & no idea.

Opting in to a newsletter gets you 50 points. Opting out gets you -50. If we, in the future, were to create 20 new newsletters you could get up to 1200 points.

I found 7 types of newsletters one can subscribe to....
AdOps Newsletter - An occasional newsletter to our advertisers and sponsors
CodeProject Offers - Occasional offers for CodeProject members
Feedback - Occasional requests for feedback on new CodeProject features
High Achievers - The highest achieving members on CodeProject.com
Newsletter - Weekly Newsletter with new articles and updates
The Insider - Daily Industry and Insider news to keep you up to date
Custom Mailout - A custom mailout to an ad-hoc list of members
I wonder how many a new user can subscribe to? Are some of these news letters based on rep?
Anyone have any clue?

There are 4 publicly visible newsletters. The others are only visible to admin and staff.

Then how can a new member opt into one of them?
If only 4 are publicly visible that should mean one can get a maximum of 200 points for opting into newsletters.
Possibly by staff or admin opting in on the member's behalf.
Opt me in on a couple hundred then

I'll keep you in mind
