You should have warned me those were Canadian minutes
Would have saved me from Ctrl-Refreshing my article once every hour

I know Chris you've just put in place a fix for the recent article viewing bug. Thanks. I like the changes, but I just wanted to point out a few things that aren't working as expected:
Browse Code (awesome btw)
-Scroll bar for the viewed file isn't showing up
Compare Article
-Doesn't seem to recognize that two checkboxes are checked, thus never allows for a comparison. Says, "You need to select two different revisions for a comparison."
Vote Distribution on an Article (like the size btw):
-Goes away very fast unless you can get your mouse over something that'll display a tooltip quickly. So, its hard to get a count for each vote.
As an enhancement, I would ask for a way to expand/collapse the tree when browsing code. All in all, good stuff. Keep up the good work.
Stats: Windows XP SP2, IE 7.0.5730.13

The article compare has been fixed.
I can't replicate the mouse-over issue you're seeing, but I'll fire up spoon.net and test over the weekend. Likewise for scrollbar issue.
Tree-view expand/collapse: definitely

Just tried the voting graph on my wife's computer and had no problems. Must be something specific to my browser/OS.

If a file you wish to view isn't highlighted, and is a text file (not binary), please let us know and we'll add colourisation support for it.
You never cease to amaze me.

I'm looking at the code, I'm looking at your message, and both spell colour correctly. What am I missing?

The Add Bookmark (to Digg etc.) panel appears a few inches away from where you click, I have to move the mouse quickly to the popup panel to 'catch it' before it disappears. This is on Chrome 5.0.375.70
Also, in the Browse Code, can you add support for .PDE files? These are text C++ files used by the Arduino programming IDE. Commonly referred to as Sketch files.
Thanks.

Actually the new layout has some Chrome specific features. It's definitely growing on me.

I trust Chrome, just like any other browser, has some strong points; and every program has some oddities someone is bound to like.
My message was merely a pendant to this one[^].

Do a Ctrl-f5 and the positioning will be fixed (if it isn't already - I added some cache-busting, but Chrome is very persistant with caching)
Also added .PDE

Positioning now fixed.
I can now see the .PDE files code, but the colourisation support doesn't appear to work?

On the plus:
think the new menu is much better.
On the not so good:
Don't like the location of the search, adds another line to the header. Can it not be placed on the menu bar to the left of the Lounge link? That way if someone narrows their browser it drops onto the second line same as the Lounge link does at present.
and to finish on a plus:
Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback.
We don't have enough (consistent) room next to the lounge. We'll be reworking the search bar one more time to streamline it - but we need a couple more things in place first.

I for one think it is fine in the header; it used to be (almost) there on most pages anyway, I see no area loss at all. I hope it will be turned into a single search bar, and pages will no longer contain several search tools. I have more related suggestions if you want them.

Yes, it did *almost* exist there previously.
The old design had;
Yellow top bar
CP Logo and advert bar
Menu Bar
Main body content
Now we have;
Yellow top bar
Menu Bar
CP Logo and Advert
Search Bar
Main body content
which results in a block of dead orange real estate immediately below the advert......just doesn't look right to me, and make the page look very blocky, if you catch my drift.

I agree there is too much yellow/orange in the header now; however the header size hasn't really changed. See my response when Chris asked for initial feedback[^] a couple of days ago.

This must be happy hour: tickets are very cheap now.
Got "Error: Transaction (Process ID 112) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction.. Ticket: . Server: Web20" while trying to reply to a message a few threads below.
Second attempt was successful.
Got "Error: SectionID. Ticket: 2435917. Server: Web20" in the Learning Zone (top 2 items, consistently).
Got tickets on each and every article I try to see. Both web20 and web19.

Yes - just had to run an upgraded stored procedure or 10 and while they were being uploaded things were a little awful.
