Because your mother told you so!
She sewed strings onto your mitts so that you wouldn't lose them, and always cleaned the windows before you licked them!
I know this is true, I have seen Portsmouth Fans before.

Hi All,
Are we going to have a monthly competition for the month of June. I am just curious as to why it does not show the list of articles for voting yet.
When I click on the Monthly Competition link it show
Prizes on offer for July
No current competitions were found for the selected category.
So what happen to the month of June.
I was thinking of winning the ASP.NET prize for June , but suddenly I realized that the whole competition is gone off

You havn't written any article! How were you planning to participate?
If you are not aware, first you need publish it and then in the next month they are shortlisted for competition. Thus, if you publish now, probably it will be in August Competition!

I was kidding.. I am sorry if you all mislead by my comment..
Anyway, I was pointing at a possible site bug.. when you click on the "Monthly Competition" link it display a message about July prizes. But what has happened to the voting link of the month June competition..?? Where are the articles that are short listed for the month of June..??

Voting starts roughly a week after the end of the month. Due to it being a holiday in Canada this week we're running a little behind in setting things up.
There will be a comp

I found that emails are not being sent if someone comments on my answer. Actually it's inconsistent. I found 4-5 comments to my answers but only received 2 emails. (surely checked Junks and all... no existence of missing ones!)
Again, this is something which was working and fine till last night (10-12 hours back!). Any known change?

No known change in the email system.
Maybe it was an unknown change.

Is there some way to remove the "Collapse" button and text from above PRE tags? I have several smallish PRE blocks and the "Collapse" button just adds clutter.
If not, then please add an option something like collapse="no" to the wish list.

We used to have it auto-select which blocks based on size. Personally I think anything less than 10 lines should be left alone. How does this sound?

that sounds arbitrary.
anything that does not shrink by collapsing should not be collapsible, and anything that does should.
depending on style that could split at 3.
|
|
|
|
|
All design, eventually, can appear as an arbitrary decision.
The purpose of the 'collapse' is specifically to allow a reader to quickly shrink a large block of code that is interupting the flow of reading. a 3 line block of code does not, in my subjective opinion, constitute a block of code interupting the flow of reading.

That sounds fine.

I've changed the system so that all PRE blocks get the "collapse" thing because I wanted to add a "Copy Code" link as well. I can have it add a "Copy Code" for all, and "collapse" for blocks less than 10 lines, but while I play around a little with it I also added a "decoration='none'" option that you can add to the end of a pre block.
I was thinking this could be decoration=none|collapse|copy|all

looks like some div adjustments were made in last 8-10 hours... before going to sleep all was fine. Right now, part of description of a question is shown along side of Title. It looks weird and difficult to read. Doesn't looks like intentional.
Can someone confirm and look into it?
P.S.: Cnrt+F5 done... IE 8

Same here. There is no line break after the subject of the question.
