I joined back in 2004 and have not been active since then. I have a new email now and the old one is not available. How can I get my password reset or the email account changed? I've opened a new account for purposes of contacting you but I'd rather use the original account if possible.
Thank you

One particular user is answering threads from an year ago (ones that were already answered and done with). He's only done it on half a dozen or so thus far so I am not sure if there is an intentional attempt to do something crazy here. But perhaps topics from 6 months back must be locked to regular users.

My guess is he's trying to work up reputation points or he doesn't realise the posts are that old....
[Edit]
For some reason you've been univoted and I've been 5'd have you hacked someone off?

Yeah, as Chris has frequently stated here, the ones giving us the spurious down votes are our own kind - namely the gold and platinum members.

Yeeah, I'm using all of my Bronze level strength to upvote for you and it isn't doing a damn thing. I wonder why?

Think very carefully Nish.
Exactly how did you upset Smitha?

I agree, some times also i can't control myself.

Not a bad idea, if the OP is still in trouble they can ask again, but others still have the opportunity to view the Q and any relevent A's.
BTW I did like JSOP's take on it with his provision of an alternative question!

Why is it odd for a member to go around answering questions?
We should be encouraging this.

Those questions were already answered and resolved an year ago. The response added does not add to the solution in any way.

Few days back, I saw few 6+ months old question being edited. Answering might be fine, editing?

Ideally, the questions/answers should be like a wiki... a source for others to search and find answers when they encounter similar problems. Editing old questions seems like a wortwhile endeavor to me.

Nish,
I can see this in the forums, but I can't find it in Q&A (for future reference) where the OP was made. Can you give me a pointer to the area it's in?
