I just made a post in the lounge and I noticed that it was timed as -1 minute ago. A refresh set it to Just Posted.
I realize that you are all very busy at the moment and I only mention this in case it indicates some weirdness with the new server(s).

That often happens because the various servers are all not in sync (time wise).

FTFY.

I spent 30 minutes fixing someone's article and got no editing points for it. That doesn't seem right.

It has happened before, a few months ago, when no editor points were being added, but it soon returned so may be the same prob.
I reported it then, so it may save a bit of time.

BTW Chris, wasn't there supposed to be a recalculation of author points because of the new bookmarked-articles-gets-points change?

Yep, and it's all ready to roll. I just haven't pulled the trigger. It was going to be this weekend but this weekend suddenly looks like it will be a very, very big weekend for CodeProject. Details later. If we all survive.

Ok, thanks for the update. And yeah I will wait for the weekend to see what's new

For some reason, I've now got the Transformers theme running round my head. "Transformers, hamsters in disguise."

And at 6AM, I now have it stuck in my head too. This is going to be a long day...

In reference to this[^], Is it possible that when I am writing my answer, if somebody else posts an answer to that question then that answer is loaded? So that once can look at the other answers and determine whether it adds value or not.
|
|
|
|
|
We could certainly poll the servers to see if answers had been posted while you were composing your answer, but I wonder if the load on the servers would be worth it.
a) How often would an answer be posted at exactly the same time you post?
b) How often would someone else's answer affect your answer?

Very less chances for both. In retrospect I guess you are right, the load on the server wouldn't be really worth it.

Regardless, it's a cool idea.
