And a fairly contentious question to, not helped in the least by those wanting to appear superior.
If the question is bad, delete it. Smartass comments are not welcome.

Chris - you might as well be trying to shovel water with a sieve mate.

Yep, I know.
Just gotta keep shovelling, though.

I don't believe the question was bad. Perhaps the OP has been a bit rude to others, but I should imagine that the smartass answers have made him somewhat offensive. I edited the question to make it a bit fuzzier and friendly to the touch.

Hey, I didn't even *look at* the question, let alone reply or comment. My point was about the runaway view count appearing on the Q+A summary page. I don't know if it's someone with a stuck F5 key or something your end. Just thought it would be worth a hamster's perusal.

I once made a search and refined the results adding the "Android" Tag. Now, every time I make a search, the "Android" Tag is present and I have to remove it manually (if I´m not looking for Android related things, obviously).
Is this correct? Is there a way to override this setting without clearing my browsing data?
Thanks!

Searching article, Questions/Answers or messages? If you go to "My Settings" (top right of the page, under your name) there is a content filter. 'Android' may be filled in there. However, it should not have filled it in simply from a search.

Searching articles.
I have removed the content filter and search works fine, but I don't remember adding a content filter before, it just happened once I filtered my search with this tag.
Thanks!

Hi, I've just approved this article[^] as it met all the approval requirements, but a couple of other members had commented that it was more marketing for the product. You may want to have a quick look to make sure you consider it OK.

At worst, maybe this should be categorized under "product showcases". I wouldn't call it abuse, as it does come with the source code for the utility and is completely free.

If it comes with full source it's fine by me.

I think this is fixed yesterday but I am still not receiving the notification mails (when someone is replying to my post) from CP. Am I missing something which I need do specifically?

I seem to be getting them fine. Let's test it. Did you get a notification email for this message?
Also, check your spam folder. Perhaps the changed IP address (due to their recent move) of the originating server will have raised a red flag with your spam detection.

Still not getting the notifications. Its not there in spam folder as well.

Hmmm, I got an email for your reply. Is there an account setting that allows you to turn email notifications on and off? If that's turned on, then perhaps select users are not getting email notifications.

I still don't know where it is getting wrong. I verified the setting and there it is corrcet i.e. mail notification to be sent if someone reply to my message.
I think only option left is to change the mail ID itself.

Based on some more recent posts in this forum, it looks like they still have some issues to work out. Others are also not getting notifications.

Yeah, Finally it seems to be working now. I just got a notification from the Chris's reply from the same thread. Thanks for helping me in sorting out this issue.

Yeah, but it's an edited article. Usually CP editors download external images, re-upload them on CP, and then change the IMG tags to use the internal links.
