I voted for this post: http://www.codeproject.com/Lounge.aspx?msg=3815399#xx3815399xx[^]
it didn't seem to take, so I clicked on home then back to lounge, still didn't seem to take, then I voted again then there were two 5 votes.
I've seen this happen (the vote not taking hold) a few times. Sometimes after a while the vote appears.
"If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader." - John Quincy Adams
"Let me get this straight. You know her. She knows you. But she wants to eat him. And everybody's okay with this?" - Timon

ah well, I think nevermind. Seems Dalek Dave voted at the same time as I did (maybe).

Messages are cached locally so it could be a few minutes before they are updated across all servers. We have a task underway to ditch our old caching system and move to AppFabric to make this work seamlessly across servers.

I know it sometimes looks strange due to slow server synchronization, however in my observations it always is alright in the end. What may help you is looking at your Reputation History, it lists your actions (without caching effects), and AFAICT it reflects what you really did.

For more than 24 hours now my rep numbers and graph disagree, not on the total number, but on the categorization. Some 5700 points are trying to move from Debator towards Authority; the basic idea is good, the execution however seems stuck in mud somehow.

I'm resyncing. We're just testing another Bumper Fun Rep RePopulator and if it's as fast as we hope I'll do another rep update soon to take into account the minor rep point corrections we've made over the past week.

That explains why my rep has jumped up 2000 points and my Debator has dropped by the same!

Nope, it confirms some authority has been detected in your debating, but it does not explain it. And I doubt it ever will, as there has been drivel in most everything you posted since many months.

The recalc is now complete, I have jumped quite a bit in the Authority rankings, and I see that CG is no longer a 100K debator.
(He is very close though).

Hmm, the total points are same though. It's just that some of the debator points shifted to Authority.

That is exactly what has happened.
Seems that at some time in the past there was a misidentification of points awarded.

answers that resulted in Authority when upvoted, resulted in Debator points when bookmarked; that is what (or one of the things that) has been fixed now. See here[^].

yes, as soon as things are correct, consistent, reliable, clear, swift, easy to use, and well documented.
