When I see slightly off URL's like that, I don't trust them.

I admit that spammers abuse it. But report it abuse@bit.ly and it is taken off really fast.

Do you want this for use on CP or on some other site?

Dear Hans,
Say for example I would like to share a CP URL on Twitter or FB (and for example this week's Poll is an impressive one). I would say it would be handy in those circumstances.

Finally understood why I'm sometimes unable to add replies to comments in solutions. For example if two different persons add a comment to my solution and I try to reply to both of them by writing "Thanks", the first one goes fine but the second one isn't added. If I change the text a little bit it's added. So I presume there's a duplicate check but it isn't taking the comment thread into account.
Now that I know this it isn't a problem but this may not be not well known.

Based upon Christian's self imposed and well deserved absence, perhaps the heading on The Back Room[^] should no longer reflect that he is moderating the forum.

LOL. Unfortunately, moderation is something I lack.
And I happen to already have a day job.

You're Canadian. They put the moderation drug in the tap water there, don't they?

As an effete politically correct intellectual who spent most of his life living on the Boswash corridor, I only drink white wine - or blush when I am feeling daring. (Daring blushes, too, if I get too aggressive)

I can't see his other posts but based on his vote on my post I'd have to agree...

Just checked your profile and it tells me you've got 79 entries in the Q&A forum.

Maybe so. They say your memory is the second thing to go. . . .I can't remember what the first is.

I had a theory that some messages in QA seemed to be migrated from other forums into QA, but I could have been imagining that. Maybe the post in question was one such post.

Soapbox1's membership list is 6 pages long and isn't in any logical order (ordered by join date?), which makes looking to see of someone is a member difficult. At a minimum I'd suggest changing it to alphabetical by display name.
