yep. vote for removal, otherwise ignore, do not reply, do not start a thread about the subject, don't even participate in one, and don't use the T word.

Yes it is, they can look at the actual IP address and all member aliases associated with this IP address. IMHO - banning the IP address would "help" solve the problem and would be a start in the right direction.

I agree to an extent, but I still believe that exposing his true identity would put a serious damper on his future activities...

What if our little friend only has one identity? What would you expose?
POH makes a very, very good point in ignoring this type of behavior. Exposing this person only adds fuel to the fire. Ban the IP and move on with our lives.

With 7.6 million users, I think it's quite impossible to get EVERYBODY to ignore it, I'm afraid...

That's a breach of privacy and is not going to happen.
Besides: I can assure you it would not help.

Just an idea, and I disagree with you concerning whether or not it's going to help.
Got any better ideas?

It won't help because it is not a Sock Puppet account. He has never been a member before. I think maybe he is young(under-16) but I have never seen any evidence to suggest this is a Sock Puppet account, and I think you can infer from Chris saying that 'It wont help' that it definitely isn't.

Good to hear that my sock-puppet accounts are not compromised.

Sock puppet accounts? Forgive me for my ignorance but what are they?
If God helps those who help themselves, don't you think we should do the same?

Accounts created by a regular that get used to "get a rise" out of others. For instance, creating an account that says that global warming is killing everything just to get a reaction out of fat_boy.

Uhm, you really never heard that expression before?

Yeah. Really. Probably because even though we speak English in our country, we dont use that expression. Thanks for the link, and for educating me.

Don't be so sure it's a sock puppet. Maunder's investigated these accusations before, and IIRC the result was always negative.

I already know your answer Chris but I feel compelled to ask this any how.
How far in the red is a member allowed to go before they explode on impact?

I'm trying to change the location of an article I created a couple of months ago (MSEPX) from C++ utilities to Threading IPC which more exactly descibes the article.
However, the first attempt to create the article was aborted and deleted from Threading but now when I try to change the location the system says an error occurred because an article of the same name exists. It seems the original was simply marked as deleted and not replaceable by a new article.
What can I do (besides deleting the finished article and renaming it and resubmitting)? It would be nice to be simply able to change the location and re-save it.

Each month we put up the survey at least a week after the end of the previous month. The reason for this is "fair play;" articles posted later in the month won't have as many votes as articles posted earlier in the month, and they deserve the same opportunity for accolades and prizes.
Thanks,

Further to the other posts scattered around the place, here is my tuppence worth.
1) Thanks for nullifying my next CP article, i was researching script injection for my chrome extension to do this, but now
2) I think the current information portrayed is the bit that lets the feature down. I quite often go to a members profile to see how long they have been a member and what rep they are carrying in the various categories, and based on the information may alter my post accordingly (e.g sarcasm level, or helpfulness level) .
I would find it more useful just to have the key categories and member duration in a simple list, thinking more the Article Count, Message Count, Author Rep, Authority Rep etc.
Cheers,

I think you need to add more (as Dave says) and also get rid of the picture - it takes up too much real estate.

Don't be, I should have been quicker off the mark! I'll maybe still do it, just as a learning exercise.
