When I select Encode "<" (and other HTML) characters when pasting in IE9 and paste code that spans multiple lines, only the first line gets HTML encoded.

Added to the bug list.
The problem is that if you paste multiple lines, IE9 treats these as individual paste operations, not a single operation.
IE9 has totally screwed paste handling, which is a shame because previously IE was the only browser that handled it sensibly.

And to think, they are already working on IE10.

I've got >10 new downloads over the weekend and not a single point for them.
I really doubt all of them were duplicates (I do not pay anyone to repeatedly download my articles).
If you've introduced a new policy on the downloads, please explain it.
Thanks

I guess the points for downloads are going to be re-adjusted soon. Thus, the current download points are suspended.
But, you don't need to worry. I am sure all your download stats are being captured and kept. Once the points are re-adjusted and finalized, all the pending download points will be awarded back.

How long do you think it will take to tally the bananas downloads?

I don't know, but if they adjust the number of points per download, we should expect a significant adjustment to people's points totals.

So you expect the tallies to be whacked?

that will be done by the tally whacker...

Upwards.
Remember that we haven't added historical points yet.

I've already stated my reservations regarding the points award per download.

The same simple experiment works great as per my guess.
Now, had we hit some bug then? Works for you but not me!

I sure would call it a major bug if it were the other way around.

Interesting logic. I'm not sure how you arrived at the "thus" though. Can you please show your working?

It's already discussed above. Just to add on again:
After the downloads were awarded points, I got some 1000 points for downloads in my Author category. But now, from 3-4 days, the points are stuck at one place. It's hard to believe that nothing was downloaded in last 3-4 days at all.
Secondly, I tried to download and found that no point was awarded to Author on download any more. Hence the assumption of 'thus'.
Will that do?

I'll look into it tomorrow morning. We keep full logging so I should have a sensible (relatively) answer for you.

Looks like the pipeline has re-opened.
When we do a full rep recalculation all missing points for downloads not counted will be added back.

Even the great HWSNBN is getting spammed[^]. There's a certain delicious sense of irony there.

I have used the report icon on this member's profile, but I almost didn't want to. The irony is just so sweet.
