There are two reasons for this happening:
0. You are being a twit.
1. The voter is being a twit.
At the end of the day your rep isn't hurt by one or two people troll voting, a member is limited on their ability to down-vote, but if YOU start to iss poff the majority, see FB, then you'll get flame-grilled.
I try not to vote down unless it is abusive - then I'll vote remove - or really stupid.

I like your list numberingindexing, definitely a sign you may have programmed a bit too long...

No, no, Didn't you read his post? He's definitely got a case of the twos.

I got in trouble here the last time I commented on someone complaining about 1 votes.
All I can say is get used to it...really. We all get the case of the runny 1 votes. It happens. It is usually caused by coming in contact with Troll feces.
There really isn't anything that can be done about it. If it becomes a daily issue then call a doctor and drink plenty of water.

Only because someone chose not to do anything about it... the site's tracking enough information already to see if someone is downvoting the same person. Its not exactly technically impossible.

Or maybe certain members should just go have an icy one and chill.
Jeez, Albert, just forget about these idiots.

After having solicited the opinion of the CP members it is clear there is a majority in favour of
re-enabling fat_boy.
3.06/5 (12 votes)[^]
2.54/5 (45 votes)[^]
Clearly, as offensive as he can be to some, he obviously provides sufficient amusement and interest to the majority.
Now, knowing the administrators of CP to be a democratic bunch they should listen to the majority voice and bring fat_boy back.

But look at the votes, you are in a minority.

Indeed I am, it looks like the community would rather you were consigned to obscurity.

You're down to meager 2.51 in SB2, 2.37 in the lounge, and 1.96 here. At this point I'd say even if your old account is reinstated the voting counts as a ban on your posting controversial subjects in the lounge.

I did the same and all seems fine ... McAfee false alert?

I'm still running McAfee, need some time to finally toss it out.
The demo zip holds two files: client1.exe extracts just fine, extracting server.exe yields a "Trojan detected; removed; no further action required" window and NO file extraction (so the "removed" applies to the whole exe file!). I can't tell this is a true or a false positive.
I haven't looked at the larger ZIP.

Most likely a false alert, Sean. One of the exes in that article is a listening socket server which is the trademark of a trojan, so most anti-viruses would think it's a malicious binary unless it's signed or otherwise authenticated.

The Questions & Answers menu has a few headers (Quick Answers, Programming Discussions, Other Languages). They are looking pretty ugly at the moment (black text that is not bold, on same green background as the rest of the menu).

Those are the only two menu items all around using that color scheme.
And their color scheme changes when hovered, although they aren't enabled; not a normal UI behavior at all.
