You have to joke around on your own dime. Nose to the grind stone and pedal to the metal.

I don't believe that my articles are so popular that every day all files I have ever uploaded to CP are downloaded. It seems for me to be a bot's job. It's like cheating I don't like this. Is it possible to check if these downloads are actual members' activity or performed automatically by a bot? It is such a waste of your bandwidtch and site's overall responsivness.
Greetings - Jacek

We have a lot of viewers. It's always possible it's bots, but we do have a requirement in place that you need to be logged in to download for this very reason.

My article was updated by an editor 2 hours ago, yet it has not yet appeared on the homepage. I hit CTRL+F5 and viewed the homepage in a different browser I don't normally use, so I'm certain it's not a caching issue on my end. This seems similar to the issue JSOP was experiencing.

Actually, I think I remember some checkbox when using the article editor that says something along the lines of "others should see this update". Perhaps the editor unchecked that when making the update.

I see from my summary that I have answered 665 Q&A Questions.
which is odd as it was 666 the other day.
Can a question be deleted after it has been answered?
And I notice that my Authority value has not reduced, so presumably the fact I have made the effort to answer the question is still recorded somewhere, and I will not take a hit on the next recalculation.

Still, it seems strange you haven't gotten a reputation event yet for the deleted question.

Deleting questions with answers has been a hot topic as of late. Everyone is in consensus (for the most part) that one should not be able to delete a question with an answer.

I will be in Toronto on August 16th. My suggestion is that you try not to drink all the before I arrive. Also, please hide any nearby oil and mankinis. A while back, this strange man showed up to hand me my Code Project MVP certificate and he was covered in oil and wearing only a mankini. Since then, whenever I see those two ingredients combined, I commence convulsing involuntarily.

We'll be here.
No promised about the
Or the mankinis.

When I view Q&A, comments is not showing. But if I add a comment, I can see all other comments until next navigation in Google Chrome ?
|
|
|

I have the same problem - I can't see comments I have made, and when I receive an email to say a comment has been made, I get the text, but it is not visible when I follow the link.
Chrome, 12.0.742.100

If I post a comment in reply to the comment I can't see, then I can see my new comment and the comment I was trying to reply to. F5 refresh removes both.

It is exactly the same as I experience it.

Still not showing(Both new & old comments). BTW It's happening in Firefox too. Couldn't/can't get replies from OP & some Enquirers posting their comments in answers.

Thanks - I'll try and take a look this evening or first thing tomorrow morning. We made a ton of changes in the last update and something, somewhere, no matter how much we checked, was bound to sneak through.

I confirm that. The comments are not showing even for old posts where comments were shown before. All those comment still present in data: an attempt to add new comment shows all comments posted earlier on the same solution; they disappears again on next page re-load/refresh.
