This one still needs just one more friendly tap on the head to go the way all spammers eventually go here on CP.
Go and get him/her/it!

I like the frontpage changes with the Featured article box now within the article tab.
a) Can you put the [^] open in new next to the link
b) Can you add a 'Next Featured Article' to the bottom right of the box or something similiar.
Just the way i like to do my browsing and read many of the feature articles as dont tend to go looking for articles unless hunting down a problem.

It's not perfect but it's a start.
I'm loathe to add [^] to things on the homepage. It's fine in messages but I'd prefer to keep the homepage cleaner. Ctrl+click or Shift+click is your friend. Well, "my" friend. Maybe he can become a grudging house guest for you.

There is a red X-icon in front of every single message in the forums, but as soon as I reload the page by hitting Ctrl + F5, the icon's gone (it appears again when I enter a forum again)

OK, odd: I get that 404 loop in Firefox 5.0.1, but it works in IE and chrome. Guess I should've tried the link in a different browser first!

Very odd. The article is definitely there and I've tested on each server individually.

I noticed whilst going through the list below, that very occassionally the response is different;
The majority of the time after reporting it shows the tick and the number of reports, but about 4 times during that list, the reponse was 'your report has been successful' or whatever the wording is.

|
|

I think I get that when I click on the report thingy before the page has finished loading.
Damn these fast fingers.

Chris may have nailed it: when you get that message, had the entire page reloaded? Sounds like the page hadn't finished loading, you clicked the report link, and the non-javascript code ran due which causes a page refresh instead of an Ajax load.

I just tried posting a URL on top of text, expecting to get a link[^] with the text being pasted over displayed; but instead the URL just overwrote the text and adding insult to injury didn't even become clickable.

Can you replicate the steps? I've just written some text, selected and pasted a URL onto it and it worked fine. Also tried:
- Selecting the entire text
- Selecting just the first part of some text
- Selecting just the middle part of some text
- Selecting just the end part of some text

I can. It seems somehow dependent on either the url being pasted; or the text being pasted over, or possibly a bogon field. I tried to replicate with dummy text and a random URL from an open tab unsuccessfully, but the text/URL I encountered the problem with originally are still failing. Both are below:

Then the picadors of course, each one on his horse

Pasting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nm3IzCT088 onto:

Does it too. How odd. Will investigate.
