Just to clarify (and apologies if you've already stated this):
Notifications (in QA) are sent when
1. Someone posts a comment to your question or answer
2. Someone posts a reply to your comment on a question or answer.
Do you want to disable notifications for both or just one of these situations?

Although it was short, it was sweet. Keep up the good work with the interviews.

I just saw that there were two rep points each subtracted for allegedly "Post a General Forum Message (undo)". I don't really give a hoot about the points, but I'm pretty sure I didn't undo anything. I'm missing two posts that were sub threads regarding some spammers.
Where'd they go?

If the message it was attached to was removed from the system, you would lose your points.

You didn't undo them, I did. It was part of the carving out of the debris left by spammers.

Can you please try a Ctrl+F5 to force a refresh of the script files. Also, are you running any ad-blockers? Which version of IE?

I think I've tracked it down to a third-party script but it'll take a little experimenting to be definite. Stay tuned.

This bug will be the end of me. We have tried everything. Permissions, accounts, locks, methods of reading files, methods of locking, unlocking, caching, not caching, burning sage, sacrificing bacon. Everything.
Essentially: we're trying to load a file. It's not exactly rocket science. Just load the file please. Yet sometimes it says it can't. But it can. I checked.
It hates me.

Burning sage, OK! Sacrificing bacon is a bit tricky. I hope you didn't burn the bacon as this would infuriate the gods governing file access and ACLs.

I actually like my bacon a bit burnt and crispy but then again, I constantly upset the gods that be.

Really?
Have you searched Google?
Did you ask at some developer site, say here[^]?

When you report a question in Q/A, does the OP get some kind of notice about the type of report being made? i.e. I report a question as "incomplete". How does the OP know that someone in the community has found their question to be lacking or incomplete?
The reason I ask is if the OP is NOT being notified, then what good does reporting do?
Thanks.
