I can kind of recreate this. In all of the past blogs that came up for approval, I could Google their content or title and come up with a CP hit as well as the original blog. The Google hit doesn't go directly to the article in my experiences though, rather it gives you a link to www.codeproject.com/script/Articles/BlogArticleList.aspx[^] and the preview text does show content from the blog needing approval. However, when I go there, I don't see the blog post listed (though I'm not about to go paging through all of them to find out). I can verify that these blogs being approved are new posts and not a pending update.

It would be nice if there was a "Clear all" option to click on the popup for notifications. That way we would not have to go to the notifications page and clear everything there.
Also, is there a way to disable the notifications, in our profile. That would be nice as well.
My reasoning, if I am getting the e-mails, then why need a notification also.
Thanks for rolling your eyes. Eye appreciate it.

I have tried with 4 different browsers to "login" to site using iPad. The "signout" link will "click" when you touch it (only in Safari since I have not logged in with other browsers yet) so you can logout but "signin" will not work. I am signed in using Safari, not sure how I did that?? but wanted to try other browsers and no luck. (Opera, Mercury, Chrome -- all on IOS iPad). Just fyi, adding to the discussion. This is the only thread I could find addressing issue.

I get a black screen indicating an error when I try to download the first example zip file from the article "Design Patterns 2 of 3 - Structural Design Patterns" by Robert Kanasz. The name of the zip file is StructuralPatterns_StructuralCodeExamples-noexe.zip- 22.7 KB. Thanks

When someone sends an email through CP, I have to respond from the connected email account, and my email address is no longer a secret (on CP). I suggest that CP allow us to respond through CP so that our own email addresses aren't exposed.
I got an email from a "skip trace" company claiming that someone from my past is looking for me, and part of their email stated that they "couldn't find another email address" for me. I certainly don't want to give them one by responding to that email.

You could forward the email to a one time only Hot Mail account and then respond from there.

It's done like this on purpose. If communication is going to be offline and not subject to moderation, then those sending the emails should be identifiable in order to minimise stalking, abuse, and provide at least a semblance of accountability.

That can be gotten around with a sock puppet account. Seems to me this just reduces legitimate use of the feature by people (like me) who wish to keep their email confidential. If somebody sends me a private message and I don't like it for some reason, perhaps just give me the ability to block further messages from that user?

While your comment "may be the most pertinent, you may or may not realize it is also the most irrelevant."
We're not talking about solving a sock puppet problem. We're talking about respecting confidential information.

Mate, I hope you understand how seriously I take confidential information. I fully understand the issue here, but there are two sides to it, and private messages that the moderators and the community can't see need a different set of rules.
I'm sorry, but I'm not willing to allow spammers and abusers the luxury of sending private messages without recourse.

Why do I have to choose between 'Contractor – I develop software on a contract basis' and 'Professional development – I develop for individual or workgroup use'? These belong in separate questions, not as exclusive choices. I develop software on a contract basis and sometimes this is for individual or workgroup use.

I can't believe that all of my answers and questions are down voted.
It is not fair. many of them had a 5 rating.
It seems someone has searched my name and to this to me. It happens at a second.
What should I do?
