Is this still the case? It seems to be working for me. What browser are you using? I have emailed you the files in the meantime. Please let me know if you receive them OK.

Thanks for reply. Still the file(s) of the article "Using a Doc/View exported from a dynamically loaded DLL (SDI)", by Dave Loeser, found in Document/View section (MFC) are not downloadable. I use Internet Explorer 8 as the browser. I didn't receive your kind e-mail either. Can you send again (to rajeswarit at rediffmail dot com and rajeswari dot sbt at gmail dot com).
Many thanks once again.

I have resent to both emails.
Is it JUST for this article? Are you able to download other files?
Thanks,

I'm curious, how do you pick a featured article, the author is no longer active and the article seems to have had major flaws in the logic as pointed out by John Maclure.

The featured article is a random article. You might want to provide a link to the article in question.

That might be a challenge Mark Nishalke (spelling is probably wrong but he was a mentor and a prolific author I think) so the track back may be difficult.
I didn't realise it was random selection, that does explain it, some of the featured articles have been crap!

I agree. It should be a random article with a score >= 4.0

They are: but when members then view it and vote on it the rating may drop.

I have read an article [^] that is about voting system of CP. But I couldn't be sure if these are normal:
Votes Rating
7x4 36x5 4,89
7x4 37x5 4.87
Rating decreased while increasing number of votes of 5(other votes didn't change). This has happened more than one time. Is it a bug or have I missed something?

Thanks. I understand it now. It is interesting. We can say that if our articles are liked by new users, we are punished and effect of votes of experienced users are decreased.
Joking apart, it is better than calculating mean of all the votes directly...

Not really, unless you're thinking of the scenario where there's a quota of votes allowed and new users use them up. Which isn't the case.
New users will vote up or down. Experienced users will vote up and down and more dramatically affect the vote. You vote is always weighted by the experienced votes.

You are right. Experienced users should be and are determinative more than new users.
I no longer have a question mark in my head about voting system of CP.
Thanks.

Technically, the voting is over. The text should reflect that to say "Check your vote!" or something.
Also, it would be nice to show which articles we voted for since we can't remember all of them.
Thanks!

Things not working as well as usual:
- Menus not working
- Stuff missing from the pages
- Pages displayed in "wide" format
???
[Update]
Things are now back to normal ...

What "stuff"? I see everything I expect to see.
To preempt Chris - what browser/OS?
