Thanks for looking into it, Chris.
I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

I realise that voting is currently off in the Lounge.
However, voting buttons are still available in the technical forums. There's a thread starter in C# which is pretty clearly a homework question, so I 1-voted it. It showed 'Rating: 1. Votes: 2' when I did it. However, the post still shows no rating when viewed, and is not greyed out as a low rated post.
I'm not sure whether the votes aren't being stored or the thread display isn't getting average ratings, but something is not right in there somewhere.

Thats what I thought.
The post I made a couple down was downvoted, and I only noticed because of the -16 appeared in my rep table, but nothing shows against the post. Maybe it shows to others, not just myself...

Ah, if you got the -16 then presumably voting is working, but the post display is incorrect.

Hey Chris,
One of the bugs in the rep system might relate to voting on your own articles.
Previously when I went platinum on Author, went went back through my own articles and re-voted on them, and gave myself a little rep boost
After you did the update yesterday, I had dropped (not sure of the exact number) but somewhere in the region of 1000.
Just out of curiosity, I went back through my articles and revoted to see what would happen. and out of the 20 published articles (I have 1 in draft), I managed to boost on 10 of them for 800, and I know that I had previously done them.
So it looks like there is something a miss in that area.
[Edit: I did the same for the tips, and also got a gain there]
Cheers,

A mere coincidence unfortunately. And yes, you can vote on your own stuff. It saves having to create a sock puppet

Hi CP,
I was shocked today when I saw my reputation points 7.9 K, which was 8.5 K yesterday.
I have lost points from individual sections like Authority, Editor, Organizer and Participant.
The most important thing is two Gold badges are gone from Authority and Organizer.
Please fix this, I really like the points system.
[Update]
Another bug is the Editor points are not getting added to the reputation points today.
I am editing questions today, but not getting any rewards as points.
[/Update]
Thanks,
Tadit

It seems there is no history in my reputation events from 16-22 Nov. In Organizer I am back to bronze !
Any clue?
UPDATE: I answered two questions in QA just now but no rep points added for that !
UPDATE 2: And now someone downvoted this post. Being reprimanded for asking question!
Thanks,
Milind

Hi Manoj
This post[^] should address your concern.

Since the points have gone down for everyone. Could someone let us know something that could assure us temporarily.
It could be a comforting statement like "Its because of a bug and your points will come back" or it could be a stern statement like "The rep points were all wrong earlier because of bug and now it is the correct value".
Please let us know something because lack of information if making me worry about rep points
P.S. I couldn't go through the earlier discussion completely so this question could be completely futile too.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, Dream. Discover.
