StackOverflow rolled out recently Portuguese versions of its question asking/answering platform: <a href="http://pt.stackoverflow.com/">http://pt.stackoverflow.com/</a> and http://br.stackoverflow.com/.
I know several Spanish developers that are willing to push for a Spanish version of StackOverflow.
Are localized versions of CodeProject in the horizon? CodeProject is one of the oldest article platforms in the web but all the articles are in English.
Although you might think one won't get by as a developer if she/he can't read/write n English, most users feel more comfortable consuming content in their own language.

This has been already spoken some times and, as fas as I know, it has always been rejected.
If CP starts supporting a language, then all user of other languages will start complaining about.
On the other hand... CP already has a massive number of spammers, if the spam links were hidden in articles of other languages, the number of potential reporters would decrease a lot, because they can not understand the content to know if it is spam or not.
I come from spain and my english is not the best, but although it would be more confortable for me to read in spanish, I think it is a bad idea and my vote is against it.

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

Those who have blog entries being automatically downloaded will no doubt have received emails saying that their blogs have once again had the joy and privilege of being downloaded again.
We just released an update to the blog aggregation system and, unfortunately, a bug we were not able to discover on our testing machines snuck through causing the re-downloading to occur. We've jumped on it, removed the doppelgänger articles, fixed the hole and have redeployed the updated code.
Sorry about the confusion. Casualties were, mercifully, few.

just got this message:
"Your article feed notes about has been successfully consumed at 14 Feb 2013. 1 new article was pulled."
I posted it a year ago and it was published on CP at the same time. Why again? Did you change CP time a year back? I removed duplicate post, so no worry. Just fix your hamsters to don't do it again

How do you remove the duplicate post? I have 3 articles in pending and I want to delete them before they are published
|
|
|
|
|
there is 'Delete' button in the top right corner, as in any other article

You just pulled the last three of my blog entries across, but you already have them. Are you sure you meant to do that?

The same thing happened to me, now they are in pending

I have a bad feeling.

I share Sean's bad feeling, see my post below. We need the big broom this time.

And you better run for the Dev Team, I just spotted about 6 or 7 Blogs in the Queue which were apparently were doubly-consumed by the engine - I deleted the duplicates, but as I returned I found another 6 to 7 Blogs waiting - Duplicates, apparently consumed by accident.

Hey Paul - I've not heard from you.

...I assume that is what is happening.
Have a look here: http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/4768170/Spammer-in-the-database-forum.aspx[^]
We get a spammer, we squash him.
He re-registers, presumably under a new name but with the old email, and he has all the old rep points.
Some of these guys are getting high reps in some categories, which is wrong: when you register you should start with no points. If this continues, soon spammers are going to get access to the moderation queue and be able to approve each others "articles" which will make them a lot, lot harder to spot.
I'm pretty sure it's the email - if you look at this guy: http://www.codeproject.com/script/Membership/View.aspx?mid=10629187[^] who I know has been banned a couple of times this month, and his account shows he started on 27th Feb this year, but his points history goes back to November last year.
I'm not saying "take his points away" - just if you want the points from a closed account, you need to apply here to get it reinstated: it shouldn't be automatic on a new member with the same email. I'm not sure the same email should be allowed immediately anyway!

I'm not sure if it is the E-mail. I could be the username as well (if the account gets banned you can use the same username again).
Another suggestion: If you let them keep their points: Don't add additional points for signing up again ... (or remove those rep points when the account gets banned)
I remeber that contracting clown last year that got like 5'000 participant rep just by signing up and getting banned
