That is, OP posted it again with updated contents. Simple. In such case, whats the need to reopen the old one? I don't see any point.

Reports are specific to that version of an item. If it's edited the the reports aren't (always) carried over. Editors can, at their discretion, carry reports to the updated version.

Look at the Task list (link above).

I saw it on there but did not see any kind of updated status for it.

I know it's been reported repeatedly but didn't see it in the most recent list.

It is on the TODO list since 10th of June, but no exact status known...

When you are editing an article, code blocks aren't syntax highlighted - which is fine, I can live with that - but images are visible.
When you use the "Preview" button to see what the whole thing is going to look like code blocks are syntax highlighted, but all images disappear, and leave a generic "no image" blank placeholder (all of which are the same size, and not the same as the actual image size).
This means there is no way to see the article as it will appear when published!
It would also be seriously useful to have a spell check...

Preview is now fixed. Sorry for taking so long.
CKEditor has a SCAYT (spell check as you type) plug-in but I've not had much success with it so far.
Colourising in design mode is possible but I fear it will slow down editing too much (especially when editing code blocks). I could do something along the lines of stripping colouring when you start editing in a PRE block, and as soon as you leave re-instate the colouring.
Alternatively we could switch from server side to client side colouring, but the client side colourisers aren't as good as our serer side for things like ASP.NET with it's language-blocks-in-language-blocks-in-language-blocks messiness.

You've been busy!
Chris Maunder wrote: I fear it will slow down editing too much
I can understand that - as long as there is a way to see the "finished article" as it will appear to readers, I'm happy with uncoloured code in the editor - better than slow entry anyway! But the colour on / off sounds interesting - if that could be done without too much complication it'd be interesting to see it work.
