Hi,
i follow the lounge , QA section but find it difficult to navigate using the current paging system. can we not have go to page number in all the list? so user can directly go to page no 50 if he wants.

There is. On the bottom of the page (only goes up to 10 or 11 tho).

I think he means a textbox, where you enter the page number.
There have been times I would have liked to have that.

The text box is already there: The URL field of your browser.
It is counting the offset number of posts in the 'fr' field. So you need a little computation by multiplying the page number minus one with the per page value selected on top of the forum (25 by default).

Yes, I've done that.

I'm still puzzled as to why.

I've needed it twice or so over the years I've been a member, when the search for a post gave me null results. You know those times when you know what the post was about but you've forgotten the exact wording.
It was no request from my side, merely an interpretation of the OP.
Personally I would like the possibility to go to a certain date, but that would be rather far down on my wish list.

Looks like you have tweaked the spam filter back to the point where I can post again - some may regret that

Your posts on The Future Mrs. Martin Hughes are still some of my favourite (if not the favourite) posts I've read.

I saw that the "Javascript" tag in Quick Answers is wrongly spelled, it's actually "JavaScript". When I went to the "edit tags" page, I tried to rename Javascript to JavaScript, but I got the error "This tag already exists".
Can we please be able to rename tags when only changing the case of some letters?

When trying to change password, the button "save settings" does not seem to work. In stead at the url addressbar is says: "Please enter URL".
Any ideas?

What browser are you using?

I posted a solution to Pointer to pointer to pointer and so on... in C[^], but it got lost.
I.e. after submitting, it was displayed on my browser, then refresh, and it's gone...
Is that somewhere in the "pipeline", i.e. can you restore that? Or is it definitively lost.
Thanks
Andi

If you go to your rep history, is there a rep event linking to your answer? If yes, can you please provide that link? If there is one, there is a chance that also non-admins can restore it.

Thanks for your feedback!
No, there is none. I immediate looked at that entry after the failure - none.

Oh, that's too bad. In case there was one, I could go to the revisions page of that answer. That page and all revisions are still kept, so that would be a way to recover it. If it's not there, an admin will have to take a look.

Thanks for your help!
I'll rewrite or forget about it
Once in a while, the CP behaves "strangely".
I'd say since a few month's it's less stable than before - especially the latency of seeing edits properly displayed has became worse.
E.g. edit a question (e.g. put a code block into pre-block) displays for several minutes (no name) as the person who looks that question for editing, etc.
Cheers

I think CP started caching more data. Don't know why exactly.
