Gus has already provided some code to me for this but I want to do it via Javascript client-side. Should be very simple (add/remove TOC button and it does magic).
There's an alternative in that we show the TOC on the right hand column, so no inline TOC at all. That's the debate...

My vote still goes for the first paragraph, even if that is client-side or server-side. Right hand column would require extra spacing, it might break the interface when the text exceeds (otherwise forcing the text to stay inside would look horrible). Secondly, TOC is still going to be generated, why not let author decide whether he wants to see it or not.
In my own opinion, right hand column won't do any good. If you want to control TOCs then at least take my tip to keep them in central column.

I will admit I like the "TOC on the right" idea - particularly if it applies retrospectively to existing articles. An in-line TOC both blocks the initial view of the actual article until you scroll, and is harder to use when reading as you have to scroll back to the start to access it.
There is unused space on the right, and it would be easier to "translate" to a mobile view, where you don't get the right or left columns at all.

When an article is created, you can choose who can edit it. For example you can decide that silver level members (and above) can modify the article. If you look at his other articles you'll notice that you probably can also edit also them.

Would it be possible to show the text when a question is created or modified '< div class = "float-left posted")' a little bit more readable? E.g. RGB 164,164,164 instead of 204,204,204. I think this would help also some other people here.

It said I had to confirm my email address, so I did, and I'm still unable to post. I do not see this message for any other forum.

You may need to open a new browser window. It will pick up your email confirmation in the current window, but not in previously open windows with old sessions.

Can you click on your appelative in the upper right and see your "Professional Profile" then click on Reputation and get a graph of your Reputation?
'Don't mean to hijack this thread ... but I can't see my graph in either IE8.0.7601.17514 or my other browser. Which is more up to date.

Step to reproduce:
* sing in CodeProject using Windows Account
* go to article Building COM Servers in .NET
* click download link of source zip file
* new browser tab is opened with content "Security policy does not allow this file to be downloaded"

That sounds like security settings on your system - IE is probably set to block file downloads from sites in the Internet zone.
Try a different browser, or try adding "http://www.codeproject.com" to the Trusted Sites zone.
If your security policy prevents you from doing that, then you'll need to talk to your network administrators to see if they can unblock the site for you.
