Hello,
Today, I want to download a source from CodeProject.
Everithing is fine, but when I try to download, I was always redirected to this page :
https://www.codeproject.com/script/Common/Error.aspx?errres=NoFileName
The error message is not clear and the tip in the URL indicate NoFileName is not help.
After many tries, I finally find that I configure my browser (Firefox and the RefControl extension) to block all referer (privacy and tracking protection), after allow CodeProject to use referer, it's work.
I understand this kind of "protection" to avoid direct link from other website, BUT AT LEAST, please, put an explicit message to understand why the download not start.
Thank you.

Are you clicking on the link, right clicking, or using a download manager?
(try just clicking)

Could you please email me the files and images in a .rar, or renamed .zip (ie .notzip) file? I'll try and get it sorted.
Thanks,

Hi Sean:
Thanks for the quick reply. The "email me" part in the last message was not clickable, could you tell me the email address to send files to?
Thanks.

I can't see "Reply" button from Insider News. Is it just me or s bug.

Works fine for me - Firefox 53.0.3 x64 on Windows 10.
You'll probably need to let Chris know which browser and OS you're using, and provide the results from the browser check page[^].

I've just tried Chrome 58 on an A3, and the reply button shows up when I click on any message in the Insider News forum.
Do you have an ad-blocker installed? That sometimes causes problems.

Hello,
If one clicks on tag node.js it leads to an error page.

Not that it happens so much but I have already seen two or three times users asking why the account was closed(i.e. here[^])
I think it could help adding the missing option of "plagiarism" to the current "abuse/troll" and "spam" to report accounts.

How would that improve things? Plagiarism is a form of abuse ... what does adding another reporting option do to help?
All we will get is more "I didn't plagiarise - I just copied it"
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Some accounts would not be needed to come back and ask what was their abuse

People who plagiarise don't care: they don't see copy'n'paste as a problem, more a way of life. They are still going to come back and say "I didn't plagiarise, I just copy'n'pasted it" - we've had a few of those!

I know... but at least you safe a bit time explaining what the "abuse" is and get through directly to the "I didn't plagiarize"
But yes... I see your point. And I have no problem with the actual system keeped as it is

While responding to a comment, the comment is shown [edit]usually quite often under some special - until now unknown circumstances
[/Edit] at the wrong place after posting.
After refreshing, everything is ok.
If one knows this, it is ok, but for new members this can look really misleading
Not keen on get more comments on it.

You mean a comment posted to a question or answer in quick answers, or a message posted in a forum or at the end of an article?
You say 'usually' but I can honesty say it's never happened we to me so it's a tough one for us to debug. We'll certainly keep our eyes open. Next time it happens would it be possible for you to send s screenshot and a link for the comment to me?
cheers
