If you wrote it, then you can delete it, unless we terminate your account for trolling or spamming.
If you realize after the fact that you shouldn't have posted something, we want you to be able to fix your mistake before the whole world sees it, or at least those with enough good taste to use CodeProject.

That is not true. If I post as a 'new acc' something with e.g. a link to youtube it comes automaticaly to moderation and I have no chance to delete the post as long it is not accepted by moderators. When mods accpet the post of course I can delete it (as long no comment exists, but also here it is possible to take a backdoor )
Wait a moment I will give an example...

I don't understand "Quote: Deleted by myself even I have no possibility to delete it by UI
How did you delete it if you didn't use the UI?

I don't think it is a good idea to post it here how I did that? But if you wish I can do it.
And please don't count me again as abusive/spammer it is my intention to help.

You are welcome. Again I think delete is not a big issue, but I can imagine there are more possibilities by that way to abuse cp. I will try more and keep you informed. The bad boy

This message[^] is complaining about not working https://workspaces.codeproject.com/... link in the article where he posted.
I didn't know there was that "workspaces"sub in CP.
Not sure if it is just an old link that needs to be updated to something new or a problem of the site. That's why I decided to post it here. If this is something not to be considered "B&S" content, please feel free to move the thread somewhere else (Article Forum perhaps?) or tell me the correct place and I will move it myself.

Workspaces was a service we attempted to launch several years ago, but it didn't take off and was shut down.

Then it is an issue with an author that didn't update the article to remove a dead link...
Thanks for the information

This is the option for a forum on a member profile page. When it is checked, it makes the forum read-only even for the owner.
Thank you.

You seem to have a knack for finding the obscure bugs.

This article was listed in one of the daily news emails:
Why Software Cannot Just Evolve — a Demonstration | Mind Matters
The problem is that mindmatters.ai is a biased right-wing backed website. The article itself is biased, tainted by the author's right-wing intelligent design creationist leanings. I didn't sign up for news emails from codeproject.com to have such drivel appear in my inbox, so I unsubscribed. If in the future codeproject.com commits to vetting news sources for quality, scientific integrity, etc., I may re-subscribe.

Duly noted.
Our editors grab news from everywhere without political considerations. However, we get it. Some sites we'll simply put on a list and move on.

Should you really be censoring a site because one person does not like it? I have read the article in question and see nothing contentious or biased in the content.

My reply was meant to indicate that: yes we hear your complaint, but we don't specifically target or block sites based on politics. There are, however, some sites we just avoid.
Basically we try to be careful and also considerate, and we'll continue to do so
