It's a great platform, although it can when I run into problems, if I can't get an answer off of the newsgroup, I'm pretty much on my own, it seems.
Sounds just like WTL! If I get a problem in WTL that no-one can help with, then I delve into the source!

Great quote BTW. It gave me another excuse to use the BlogThis! button .

A little icon/link on the title of each message that when clicked will popup a new printer friendly window with just that message.

That would be useful. It would also be useful to search only for a certain person's posts that are in reply to you.

Chris, have you ever considered giving us the ability to change the little "scroll and pen" icon displayed to the left of the message topic to any one of the various emoticons?

Exactly! The default would be the current one, but the author would have the option to override it with another. It looks like most of the current group of emoticons could be appropriate now and then.

Now and then? It wouldn't work that way. EVERY message would have a different emoticon and it would appear a little noisy.
Lemme think about this.

What if ONLY the person who started the thread was allowed to use a custom icon, so no one that replies can use a custom icon. That wouldn't be so bad.
